Where are these rallycross cars now?
I missed the Group B rallycross cars in the ERC and was wondering were all of these great cars are now.
Have some been converted back to rally spec. considering they are extremely collectable now? Were are the following now:- Will Gollops 6R4 Martin Schanches RS200 The Malboro sponsored 205T16EvoII The BP Audi Sport Quattro etc. I would love to see some of these cars at the Goodwood Festival or demostrated at ERC rounds or the British GP. |

I know Gollops 6R4 was up for sale for about £50,000 2 or 3 years ago, I think it was bought by an Irish guy, not sure what he used it for.

Here is some information on where will gollop's metro 6R4 is now......they have destrooyed it with a new red colour scheme....please paint it black again in the silkolene colours!!
HEre is a quote from the website of its whereabouts: "This 6R4 was probably the most powerful 6R4 ever made and certainly the most successful. Its twin turbos produce approximately 750bhp at 2bar boost from its 2.4ltr engine. After winning the European Rallycross Championship two years on the trot, rule changes by the rallycross governing body forced Will Gollop to sell the car. It is now used in the Midlands Hill Climb Championship. It was brought to Powerstation for a new Engine Management System as the original system was a derivative of the original 6R4 Lucas system. Powerstation fitted a modern MOTEC system which greatly improved the driveability of the engine. Full data logging facilities were also incorporated so detailed analysis of the run up the hill could be carried out." "This 6R4 has just returned to have the launch control feature of the MoTeC M8 to be fitted and setup. The car was taken to Enstone airfield for further mapping plus the setting up and testing of the launch control." Here is the link to information on its whereabouts...go down three quarters of the page and pictures of it in its red colour scheme....i am going to cry! http://www.powerstation.org.uk/Projects_Page.html |

Most of the group b rallycross cars are now in the museam in france near to the Loheac rallycross circuit. That has aquired most of schanches cars as well as the 205's. A visit is a must so i am told.
as for Kristoffersons BP car then i belive it was taken to bits and parts used on his Audi he built for the 1993 season when the new regs came in. He also bought the ex john welch astra to use his transmission in the new audi |

Martin Schanches Xtrac Escort was fully restored to its original bodyshape and colour scheme and makes appearances at the Brighton Speed Trials on occasion, in the hands of Mike Endean.
