Can anyone who was there today shed any light on what looked to be a meeting run by a group of chickens, possibly with heads fully or partially removed. Since when do we leave cars upside-down in gravel traps and in the MG's case, sat beached in the middle of a gravel trap in the firing line at Goddards (or whatever the chicane is called nowadays)...?

I can only presume it was a pressure from TV to keep racing happening despite the additional hazards around the racetrack and potential harm to humans and vehicles?

I thought leaving cars in the gravel at the chicane was a bit strange. Probably far too awkward to recover under just yellows. Like you say probably just wanted to keep the action going. I enjoyed the coverage anyway, some good racing.

I had to go to race control on a couple of occasions and can only say the number of senior members of both the MSA and BARC are not the people to be dictated to by television . maybe just maybe we are so us to a nanny state that when someone misses a gear we are use to them throw flag . Motor racing is a calculated rise sport and i can only say i was very happy with there assesement of the risks .
