Gerben24 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Rossi extends Yamaha deal to 2008

Details here.

This is good news. Good news for Yamaha and good for MotoGP. It's bad news for all the other riders, as Rossi won't have any distractions with rumours about his future and therefore is top favourite for the 2007 title!!!! (I'm biassed).

Great news for the series! I'm very pleased to hear this.

And Gerben, I think the other riders will be happy. It's a bit like Alonso being satisfied that he beat Schumacher in F1. If you take a win or a title off of Rossi, you have accomplished something. Not to mention, Rossi only elevates Moto GP, which is good overall.

I'd've preferred to see him take on another form of racing now. He can't really improve his reputation any further, most people lose count after 5 titles anyway....

Great stuff. Valentino has many more years to contribute to MotoGP and the series will be all the more exciting for it!

I agree knowlesy.

Switching to another form of motorsport has no guarantees other than a pay check. His heart may not be into it that much. And also, doing a bit of rallying or other stuff may be nothing more than a hobby like interest. Maybe he'd rather not tie himself down to a full season.
