The new "toy" is working well then Tony,
It's fortunately for all who were there that the rain held off on both days! Saturday night/ early Sunday morning does not count!!!!!!!! |

I heard it was a bit freaky, I know mr rudge was bailing out the cockpit of his car sunday and trying to dry all his stuff before the first run, but as usual everyone seemed to just get on with it and help each other and it turned out to be a really good race.

I have to say what great work both you (Brayspeed) and Richard and Georgia (2t4t) are doing with this filming stuff. I never dreamed I'd ever see on-board footage because I didn't imagine it would be worth anyone's while, but it's amazing to watch.

Thanks Chris
Tony's latest vid is excellent.
We are in the production und bloody planning process (PUB)....... with this years championship footage. Funnily we have been working on a very topical clip this afternoon........ You star. It should Premier Pro , or elementary, or just a moviemaker today. Once the production assistant (Georgia) finishes it. There are bats in it. McB |

I wonder what it is about dashing up 14ft wide tracks with no escape route at up to 150odd MPH that lends itself to onboard footage?

At Shelsley 14 ft would be classed as wide, most of it is a lot less.

Correct, longleat is not the most challenging course around........but it sure as hell aint the grippiest either !. Plenty of good drivers have left Longleat with major tree damage thats for sure. |

One thing I enjoy about it is the chance to really give the car its head - you don't always get that chance in hillclimbs |

Trouble was that I used to really enjoy the quick stuff and I wanted to do more and more...but that's called racing and it's too expensive... Tried Colerne a couple of times in the early years - and I'm sure I'll regret admitting this - I used to get completely disorientated, lose sight of where the finish line was and have nightmares about cones for weeks afterwards..... |

I have been visiting Colerne for several years now but this year I competed there for the very first time. I was having nightmares before the event worrying about hitting cones and becoming disorientated. On the day I loved it! I had no problem sighting the corners and the only thing that spoiled it was when a certain Davrian popped its sump plug out and liberally coated the final corner in fresh hot oil! There is another Castle Combe sprint in a just over a week's time which I might just pop down to watch! |

ahhh - that'll be the Pegasus Sprint run by the best motor club in the world
Used to be my favourite event of the year but having blown a valuable engine and a gearbox at Combe will have to stay on the hills... Perhaps a second car would be the answer... |

Onboard Videos
We have added some more British Hill climb Championship videos to the www.2T4T.co.uk site.
Chris Merrick at Wiscombe, Simon & Ian Fido at Gurston, Willem Toet at Loton, Tony Hunt at Shelsley, Peter Clarke in the sandracer at Wiscombe Park and Deryk Young at Shelsley Walsh. Should help the end of season withdrawl... Don't forget the sound of the Predator further down the page. Oh, and we won an entry to Shelsley at the Midland awards the other night. And Scott, Paul, and Mike promised to soon do their homework . Richard & Georgia |
