Luton Park (Built on Bob's Track Builder)

Hey guys, here's a 1.7 mile track made in BTB, just thought i'd share!

There's walls round all the track, some bits closer than others. There's a little run off area on each turn, though.

I've tried it in rFactor with the F1's (on keyboard ), and it's pretty fun, but may be even better with something a little less powerful.

Feedback muchos appreciatos

Quintin03 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The run up to the the second real turn looks like a blast, very fast indeed. T4 and the final look great being multi radius.

How about runoff areas, especially at the fadt corners of the first section?

I'll reason with you here, mate - I'm a huge noob as far as BTB goes. I have no idea how to extend run off. All I know is how to build barriers. The trouble is, I can build barriers as far out as that run off in the diagram suggests, but no further, as I can't seem to continue the tarmac, instead your car will just fall through a gap in to nothingness!

I love the design, and would love it even more if I could play it!

Pretty cheeky to ask, but it would be great if you could learn how to add the extra details, then perhaps you could have a go at transferring some of the designs on here for us to try with rFactor?

If you want to post or send me the BTB files, I can actually import it into rFactor and run it on the GridMotorsports league mod which is what I test all my tracks with. They are a very good simulation of cars which are around GP2 in power.

Yeh sounds great. I've given it a run in rFactor and it's really fun. It encourages overtaking nicely. The GP2 powered cars might be slightly too powerful for a just under 2 mile track, but by all means, please do give it a go, guys.

I'll upload the file tonight! Modifications to it are more than welcome (making it a little more fancy would be nice...).

Yeah, it might be a bit short for our series, but we run a few tracks at just over 2 miles such as Laguna Seca which is a signature race for us.

That's fair enough then. I mean you guys are more than welcome to take it, add some elevation, do all sorts, as long as it's not altering the track layout itself

I can't actually find the file - what format is it in? I'll upload it if I can find it tonight.

To be honest, I'd prefer that track to be run anticlockwise, just because of that multiple radius 180 degree corner that would become Turn 1 and the flowing section that follows. It's a great fast old style track, a mixture of Zandvoort, and the fast part of Montjuich Park. May the safety features of it be a whole lot better than that of the latter.
