New street circuit-only GT series for 2009?

I just heard there was going to be a new European GT series held exclusively in street circuits for next year.

Has anyone else heard or read anything about this?

A plan for a GT series in a region largely supported by gentleman driver involvement which takes place exclusively at tracks with absolutely no margin for error before plowing into concrete. Genius. Why didn't I have such an amazing idea?

I like the idea, but find me enough street circuits that would be available!

Monaco;
Bucharest; think SRO would give that up?!!
Porto; Euro GT
There's the A1GP Durban, and Pau at a guess.

Unlikely

An all street course series? Sure, why not? Champ Car proved how well just having the majority of street races would work...

There is the Valencia street circuit but it's unlikely that Big Bernie will allow any remotely interesting forms of motorsport at a Grand Prix weekend (and that includes the main event!).

Anyone for the Skeggy 500km?

Pau is way too narrow and I don't like it. What about a support race at Gothenburg City for the Swedish Touring Car Championship.

International gt open/ Ferrari challenge series is going to race on the new valencia street circuit, a few weeks before F1 in order to check everything works the way it should.

You can never have enough racing series

In the meantime, I'm trying to pitch my idea of a TNCC (Tata Nano Cup Championship) series to gauge the interest of fellow members.
