It's a great feeder formula though so should be perfect for ETCC |

Would it be safe to assume they'll be running a Swedish, or at the very least, a Scandinavian driver?
Given that only Bjork and Dahlgren (both Swedish), and Rustad (Norwegian) have raced for them in the WTCC, I'd be surprised if they don't run a Scandinavian. Could be anybody in the other car though in my opinion. Last edited by CJFG; 2 Oct 2015 at 11:54. |

The rumoured Team Time Trial has now been confirmed for 2016.
I feel more than a little intrigued by this, but I won't pass judgement until I've seen it for real. At least it's something a bit different. Last edited by CJFG; 2 Oct 2015 at 12:14. |

I'd say we'll see at least 3 Volvos. Maybe one with a privateer, but I'm sure they want to participate in the MAC3 challenge.

MAC3, because there's nothing more thrilling than watching three cars trying not to overtake or hit each other.

Points scale for MAC3 here
http://www.fiawtcc.com/tour-de-franc...ials-for-wtcc/ I'm surprised with such small difference between 1st and 2nd - think they should have given 12 points for the win. Same for Q3 by the way, I think they should increase the points, for example a 8-5-3-2-1 scale would do the trick |

The point gaps are a bit odd. 2 points between 1st-2nd & 2nd-3rd but 3 between 3rd-4th. If they're going to award points to the top 6, they might as well use the old 10-6-4-3-2-1 system.
The qualifying points are fine as they are. Increasing the number would put too much of an emphasis on qualifying. Remember, quali points were introduced as an incentive to prevent drivers from deliberately trying to qualify 10th and take advantage of the reverse grid. |

The C-Elysseé is also made in Spain. The Vigo factory was opened in 1958.

Interview with Ribeiro
http://www.championat.com/auto/artic...y-i-serii.html Key points: 1) Russian race in 2016 is a certainty, however question remains whether WTCC will stay at Moscow or move to Sochi 2) The calendar will be announced only when F1 calendar will be submited. He also wants to avoid clashes with Euro 2016 and Olympic games 3) The manufacturer which is about to arrive has both European and Asian management (welcome Volvo) 4) Future return to USA possible only with an addition of a star driver from US 5) Ribeiro is against DRS, hybrids and other similar systems in WTCC 6) Compensation weight is about to increase for 2016 (!) |

The Euro is on June 10 - July 10. The Olympics are on August 3-21.
More ballast is a terrible idea. |

As long as it will be perfomance based - fine. I see no real difference between 60 and 80kgs. Just leave that 0,3 second gap for equal weight to make it quite fair
Probably that came from the drivers - here's Rob Huff's statemenet: http://www.touringcartimes.com/2015/...sation-weight/ |
