SEAT for BTCC

According to todays edition of Autosport, SEAT are expected to announce their entry into the BTCC in 2004.

One of the seats will be given to the 2003 Supa Copa championship.

A formal announcement is expected at the Motorshow.

Richard West did say there would be a 2004 manufacturer announcement soon, so it makes sense. But SEAT suprises me, I thought it'd be the Ford project.

good - more manufacturers = bigger championship = bigger crowd = better coverage = maybe live tv coverage = more action = SUCCESS

If SEAT Confirm it would be great news. I partically like the possible idea of SEAT running the SuperCopa champion. I think a good young driver could launch their career with a manufacturer in the BTCC, and they could go onto great things, it would be a real oppurtunity for someone.

Well his been linked to the Supacoppa, and a deal to work on the SEAT Leon with VLR with a view to stepping into the Tourers with the marque.

Just pointing out that the Supacopa will not just be young up and coming.

why don't they join the ETCC??

The ETCC entry is confirmed for 2003 and I could imagine there will be no other.
