fatbloke should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I heard that Paul Tracey was disqualified for hitting one of his pitcrew when he came in the other day - is this right ?

This is correct. He ran over and broke 3 or 4 toes of a crew member.

By accounts, it was not his fault, but the rules say if there is an injury to a crew member, the car will be disqualified.

As Paul was pulling into his pit, it appeared to him that the car in the adjacent spot (Montoya, I think) looked as if he was going to pull out. The spotter held the other car, having seen Tracy, but Tracy took evasive action, not knowing what the other car would do.

Just an unfortunate incident for Paul.

Update/correction: It was Gil DeFerran in the other car. And a report states only one toe was broken.

Wow, they didn't take two weeks to disqualify Tracy? Must be because no movie stars in Team Kool Green?

Give it a break Liz....Michael was the first to be disqualified under the new rules, and now that there is a precedent, you hit anything these days and your out.

Heres one from left field, ala Franklin style. Dont disqualify them, let the crew people inflict similar damage to the driver. If the driver breaks the tyre mans toes, let the tyre man break Tracy's toes...You can't tell me the drivers would learn quickly
