I'm assuming thats James Courtney in the Ford sponsored DJR Ford Falcon FG
Me im thinking its Frosty's year, based on statistical analysis 2006 3rd in the championship, 2007 started slow but finished well, 2008 2nd in the championship. 2009 started slow but finished well, so based on the pattern I believe he will finish first in 2010 |

I belive JC will come back from the middle eastern double header with the Championship lead based on the fact with lots of international experience he should adapt to the Yas Marina circuit well and quickly, Djr with 3x Data won't hurt..
He has had good pace @ Bahrain in 06, 07 & 08 and possibly the car to do the job over there for the first time. Once they are on home soil it's all a guessing game.. |

Im going to say JC for the #1 in a solid performance and all 3 DJR cars in the top ten for 2010

i'll always hope for a DJR win, and Courtney has gone well compared with others when they go to a track for the first time without previous setup data - wins in Townsville and Homebush on debut this year. If i recall correctly both on Sundays after promising runs on Saturday cut short due to an engine in one case and a door in the other? So i agree with FPV8U on that, but hopefully JC can continue that on. Otherwise Frosty, HRT or Whincup. everyone else i doubt it... regardless of the remaining silly season announcements

Yes, but Dean in his absolutely championship calibre race weekend, managed to show Bargs how to properly be the recipient of a "follow in" as the Brits say, at a banger meet.

I think Will Davison, if he's still at HRT. While 888 is a very professional outfit, they didn't win the series first time out in the Falcon. While I expect the transition to be minimal, I expect it'll be enough that a HRT car will win the series, and I'll go with Will.
I think next year will be lean for Ford, I'll put it out there that I don't think a Ford will feature in the top three at the end of the year. |

I would say a HRT driver or Jamie will win. The transition for 888 is minimal and I expect them to be in the pace from the first race.
All I can say is that I wouldn't like to be a Ford supporter next year or for a number of years to come, DJR are the obvious choice as their top team but without 888 support they are unlikely to have the same sort of pace. Ford Underperformance Racing, the perpetual underachievers and I can' t see it changing, Frosty will have weekends where he is unbeatable and then disappear to mid pack as he always seems to do. Stone Brothers, Fast driver who only very occasionally brings the car back in one piece. Holden has the numbers, the teams and the drivers to make it a very ugly few years for Ford. And the reality of it is that it is all Ford's own fault for failing to support 888... |

thats a load of waffle
take out HRT and holden drivers brought home about one race win in the 2nd sprint tyre race when the main drivers had used there tyres. Ford on the other hand had two drivers win multiple times and those two drivers are staying with ford Frosty scored ythe most points on two of the last 4 weekends |

That's exactly the problem. Ford drivers can be great on a weekend and win, but then they languish so badly in other rounds that they just aren't championship contenders.
I'd love to see some Ford teams step up every round, but I think it's going to be HRT leading the way and 888 will get up to the front regularly by mid season, with the odd Ford win here and there. |

Thank you for reminding why I don't bother posting to forums, the inability of some people to intelligently disagree just makes it all too hard.
First point here is that we are talking about 2010, so forget this year, next year 888 cars will be Holdens and it will be Holden teams that benefit from that engineering know how. Also, lets not forget that Holden will have more of the front running drivers and in Coultard, the best up and coming driver. Frosty is the most inconsistant driver out there, on his day he is unbeatable, but those days are rare and without a major change he will never win a championship. Your very comment against this statement supports my statement, I agree he's had a couple of good weekends... Quote:

I voted Ingall, moreso a want, than a thats what will happen, but he has showed alot of promise, just been taken out by other people a few too many times.
With the help of T8 on side, i'm sure the package will be even better. Alot of people voting for JC, whilst i dont want to doubt his talent, he can drive, unfortunately for him, he bins it more often than not, and that doesn't win championships..... |

to be fair his socks have been pulled up the 2nd half of this year, and i'd prefer someone who gives their all and takes risks to get to the front than take it easy and finish mid pack
