Missing Teams ?!
Im wondering what is going on with Cirtek and PK sports .
As far as I remember , i did see a picture of a Blue C65 being readied for shipment to Sebring where Intersport were supposed to run it . It was on the original entry list as far as i remember . Then there was supposed to be a 2 car 360 effort from Cirtek in the Fia GT championship . What happened to that ? The Courage is also not entered in the Spa LMES round . Why ? As for PK Sport ..... I havent heard a gig from them . Can anyone shed some light on whats happening ..... thanks ! |

Cirtek is running the Russian Age Ferrari 550 in Fia GT and Le Mans. They enter also a Ferrari 360 at Le Mans.

The Courage, I believe, belongs to Frank Mountain. Intersport were going to run it for him at, I think, Sebring and Le Mans, but I don't know what the current situation is.
Cirtek have run Frank Mountain's cars in the past, too. |

I expect both Mountain's 360 and C65 will appear at Le Mans. Cirtek is certainly very active with the Russian Age Racing programme, have new digs in the old VLR offices etc. I suspect the early acceptance of both Mountain's cars to Le Mans prompted the cancellation of any Sebring plans, as I expect that was the reason for them to show up there.
As for PK, the lack of modern equipment (2001 and 2002 chassis only) combined with the general decline in backing they've received (Ricardo gone, followed by Pirelli gone) seems to have made them uncompetitive, which in turn makes people (gentleman drivers included) less likely to work with them than, say, TRG. A shame, but they should perhaps consolidate in the British GT championship again before venturing abroad. |
