Ambrose/Ingall are too easy to pick as the winner, so are Skaife/Kelly.
Lowndes and Seton cant carry a woofer of a car for 500km One from left field, Jones/Bowe. |

I guess thats because you gave the jones boys some hot tips about setup during your "conversation" with brad, so they should be leading the pack at sandown. |

If you read the press release from Ozemail, ( http://www.v8supercar.com.au/news/la...y.asp?gid=7692 ) they claim the Oran Park weekend to be their season-best result! GTR should ask for a consultancy fee....

It's hard to see the No.4 car loosing unless it breaks.I think Bowe/Jones will be up there if Brad lets JB do all the setup work.

Longhurst/Richards definitely a dark horse worth watching.
#4 is just too obvious a choice, even though their form is great and the car will be very quick. I just think a few gremlins will strike them down, probably the old $2 part. Maybe not, they will certainly be in contention though. |

I'll go Richards/Longhurst to repeat their 1985 win (though if they repeat their early 1985 race scenario, i don't think the result will be the same )

hard decision as sandown normally causes an upset here and there id like to see ambrose/ ingall or lowndes/ seton but what i would mostly like is to see notso stick it in the wall & severly hurt his chance at the title

I think he's living on borrowed time now, given that there is no VY on the horizon, is there?

Ambrose/Ingall and if Lowdnes/Seton I hope Paul Morris/ John Faulkner can repay some of Daddys money.

Ambrose and Ingall to win if the car doesn't break.
Skaife and Kelly to win if #4 breaks. J.Richards and Wills to keep surprising us. And Thexton to struggle at the end of the back straight ... |

Worth noting that that despite the change in categories for this years Sandown 500, last years winners (Tratt/Stokall) are in the race, though this time they are unlikely to trouble the leaders.
The only cars i can see winning on outright speed are #4 or possibly #1, with four or five others to pick-up the pieces. |

One of those 4 or 5 could be Bowe/Jones and perhaps Morris/Faulkner, if he doesn't go ape like the last race and Oran and thry to lead the first lap, not the last.

Not sure, but the Ford website seems to have made them the new great hope... with the pics of the car, a newsstory of the drivers all over at www.ford.com.au
They didnt even do that when their favourite lovechild Craigybabes won Phillip Island! |

Just looked at the Ford site and saw the Ellery/ Youlden car on there. Hopefully this means more Ford backing for the team next year. They are the leading single car team in the Championship this year. Its great to see Ford getting behind some of the smaller teams. Makes the bigger teams look ordinary when they beat them week in and week out doesn`t it.

If it's wet, dem Kiwi lads in the Team Dynamik car are sure things.
If not, Skaife/T Kelly and Ambrose/Ingall will be the rightful front-runners and watch for Murph/Kelly Jr to be thereabouts. If the weather changes frequently look for Bright/Weel to come into calculations, and Radisich/Rydell look like the only other Ford entrant capable. |

I disagree vee8. I also think that Lowndes/ Seton will be there and Sandown was no fluke for Ellery/ Youlden. There will be more Fords there than you think.

I don't believe that Ellery/Youlden fluked it, The Man, but I doubt that a bloke who is 16th in the championship would follow up his first podium of the year with another, in the two most important races of the year. With the calibre of teams around him, I think Moosehead might just be capable of putting it in the top 5.
As for the Lowndes Seton car, you can sum up in two words why they won't win - Glenn Seton. Good steerer, nice guy, but no luck when it counts. |
