Eh, possibly at 20, if Neal doesn't race. Still, maybe with the less amount of cars, we won't see AS much carnage.

Still a respectable entry list, and the most competitive cars are still there.

It's a bit annoying that there's a month gap after Knockhill till the Thruxton rounds, and such a short time between Brands and Knockhill, considering the teams probably need to set off a bit earlier to get there.

You can cross Richard Marsh from the entry list, Dave Pinkney has just confirmed on Tin Top Tuesday that they have an engine problem and it has to go back to Italy and it wouldn't be back in time. I make that 18 now?

Erkut Kizilirmark has his sisters wedding too on the 2nd, so if that's true he's out ?

Boots, funny you should say that, as contrary to what Steve Neal was saying a lot of teams (including RAC..) offered or did help with the repair of the BMW. (Source: btcc.net).

Tim Wilkinson should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I'd read that about a lot of other teams helping Mat, too - quite handy having a few beemers lying around these days!

Motorbase and Quest just don't seem to be having any luck at all - big bills after nearly every round. I'm looking forward to seeing Jim out again, and I hope he's made some steps forward with the car.

I suppose Knockhill is the circuit where a smaller grid will be noticed least - is it the shortest on the calendar? I can only think that BH Indy is close, but that has a lot more space.

Knockhill's 1.3 miles Brands is 1.2, roughly rounded up. Knockhill has a limit of 28 starter's anyway I think.

Knockhill is carnage anyway, even if it was a 2 car race there would be a pileup. Shame Erkut's missing as he's pretty good at carving his way through T1 carmageddon.

According to the Blue Book, it can be used for

Racing and sports cars over 2000 cc - 22
Racing and sports cars up to 2000cc - 28
Other classes - 32

I assume the BTCC is in the middle class, bluebookese isn't my first language

Gavin Smith hasn't yet got a deal to race at Knockhill so that might be another one missing.

Well, Gavin's page and the GR Asia quote implies it's for the remainder of the year. Considering the sponsorship is his own, can't see how there's a problem.
