Lowes Cup Thread. *SPOILERS*
Hmm, The race is playing out with 220 or so to go.
Kahne leads from Earnhardt and Gordon. Martin is Lurking in 8th or so, and we'll se if he can push up through. It's looking good for Burton, he's staying consistant. Hopefully Dale can push through for the win to make up some more points. And Scott Riggs is boned, he suspension is probably wacked. |

Bit of a crashy race that. Plenty of incidents.
Kahne wins easily in the end and Burton extends the points lead a touch. All a bit late for Kasey really... |

The sad thing is that Dale didn't make anyground.
Anything can happen but you have to feel that Burton is hitting his straps. Kenseth would have to be second favorite. I actually dropped out for an hour and missed the incident involving Martin, that shagged him up royally, was it as bad as I read? |

Gordon is in all probability out of the chase now. He was a threat to win the race until his engine blew during the last 30 or so laps. Yeley really ruined Martin's chances for a Championship, too bad. martin took a hard hit in the wall. Harvick had a horseshoe up his azz last night. It still looks like Burton and Kenseth, but there are 5 more to go and darn near anything can happen, and usually does.

I agree Gordon has no chance. I think Kahne, Busch, and Johnson are in the same boat and Junior is close. Even with good runs this week they gained little ground in the chase. The only way they will be able to make the points up is if everyone ahead of them suffers some type of disaster week in and week out and probably gain the maximum number of points each week. This seems unlikely. I'm going with Kenseth or Burton because they seem to have really good luck and they stay consistent.
