2007 V8SCFC: Round 11 Surfers Paradise Results
Who's been flirting with their concrete mistress again? Top Ten at Surfers Lego Racers (DarthFalcon) 101 2 Team MVMotorsport (MattV) 94 2 NNR (Niki51) 94 4 Rombles Racing (Rombles1) 90 5 Team Tiger Racing (carma) 89 6 Team Bourbonphone (Micklegend) 84 6 BlueBlood Motorsport (BlueBlood) 84 6 Below Average Racing (Average Punter) 84 9 Brendon Engineering (Pro Racer) 81 9 Squadra Darkness (Razor) 81 Oddly enough, the cars most likely to fall apart prevailed at a place with great car-breaking ability! Following Lego Racers plastic fantastics over the line were Team MVMotorsport and NNR, who recorded their second podiums this year. Congrats to fast moving surfer d00ds Jason Richards, Greg Murphy, Will Davison, and Cameron McConville! Hard Charger Award Big points equalled big gains at Surfers, so Lego Racers also carried off the Hard Charger Award, gaining seven places. Podium-mates Team MVMotorsport and NNR were again second with a 5 place jump. Spoiling the symmetry were Squadra Darkness, who also snuck in with a 5 place rise. Biggest Loser Award Team Liquid Racing and West Surrey Racing somehow managed to crash on the warm-down lap, which may or may not have contributed to their 5 place drop in the standings. Also caught crashing in pit lane, and suffering 4 place falls, were Jacko Junior Racing, SZaucy Motorsport, and BLAT Racing. Standings after Surfers (last round & margins in brackets): 1 (1) Scuderia Cavallo Ferro (Antrodemus) 1026 2 (3) Hayden Craig Motorsport (H C Motorsport) 982 (-44) 2 (4) Below Average Racing (Average Punter) 982 (-44) 4 (2) Club 27 Racing (woodbine) 979 (-47) 5 (5) Brendon Engineering (Pro Racer) 977 (-49) 6 (6) Team Bourbonphone (Micklegend) 968 (-58) 7 (7) BlueBlood Motorsport (BlueBlood) 946 (-80) 8 (9) Eagle Motorsport (Biggy G) 888 (-138) 9 (11) Team Tiger Racing (carma) 882 (-144) 10 (8) Australian Motorsports (Chatters) 871 (-155) 11 (14) Rombles Racing (Rombles1) 851 (-175) 12 (12) Team Chaparral Racing (TCR-028) 833 (-193) 13 (10) Total Team Red & One Other (Harves) 826 (-200) 14 (13) Pinnacle Motorsport (marcus) 823 (-203) 15 (20) Squadra Darkness (Razor) 816 (-210) 16 (15) Snap Crackle Pop Racing (Oaksnaf) 806 (-220) 17 (18) Crooks Motorsport (StuiE) 802 (-224) 18 (16) Rowdy Motorsport (Rowdy) 797 (-229) 18 (16) Gotta Race (billybanana) 797 (-229) 20 (19) Chrysler 101 Racing (M-Kart) 777 (-249) 21 (26) Team MVMotorsport (MattV) 769 (-257) 21 (26) NNR (Niki51) 769 (-257) 23 (21) Team Green Bean (Peckstar) 764 (-262) 23 (24) 05 Racing Forever (adz_34) 764 (-262) 25 (23) Phoenix Motorsport (Helix) 762 (-264) 26 (22) Jacko Junior Racing (Jacko44) 759 (-267) 27 (29) S.L.U.T. I can't see top of the order staying as it is through to Phillip Island somehow... Pinnacle Motorsport's tactical changes in the lead up to the Surfers round haven't yet had the desired effect, with the gap to Battle of the Mods leaders SCF stable at around 200 points. I've also heard rumour of a third team in this contest, but as yet those rumours remain unfounded. |

Well it's about time!
I've doggedly stuck with my team of misfits all year, falling in the rankings round after round. I totally forgot to change my lineups for the enduros, so thought 'what the heck, let's keep 'em all till the grand finale'... Here's for a big push in the last 3 rounds! |
