NASCAR Cup The 2012 Chase Thread
We'll use this thread for all the Chase rounds cause I am tired of starting new ones for each race and Sept and Oct for me are going to be VERY busy.
Who do you think will win? Full Chase Page from Jayski Quote:

Hamlin perhaps. I wouldn't be upset if Jr won it though.

Hamlin is boring, so I hope not.
If it was 4 months ago, DreamyBiffle would have been a shoe in, now not so much Bowyer is someone i never really warmed to, but now he is at MWR something has changed, and would be good to see him get up. BUT, one can never discount Johnson and the wily fox Knaus. And if Kez throws a few more drink bottles at appropriate times, he might just get some strategy correct and get up there and the Jnr fans: your dreaming |

Brad Keselowski.
Just so Dodge can leave on a winning note, and Penske can rue the day they decided to play 2nd fiddle to Roush. |

I would give my dark horse pic to Martin Truex Jr, because he's run unbelievably well this year and lately, contends for the wins and just barely comes up short.
I am so proud and amazed at the work MWR did over the offseason and from the end of last year. I believe he and Bowyer will be factors in the Chase this year. |

Not sure where to put this and this is as good a place as any... I saw this segment on Junior this morning and thought it was pretty good.

I think Jimmie Johnson going to get another one. Yep, I said it. After the loss last year that whole bunch will be hungry as hell.
Also, I must admit the Chase format has finally sunk it's claws into me. I'm pretty dang excited to see how it plays out. But it's such a lovely, wonderful dream |

Chase or not, I've watched one race at Chicagoland, and that will likely not change today.

right i dont understand what just happened at Chicagoland. Johnson, Keslowski, Khane, Gordon et al who were leading the race and didnt pit under green. Were caught out by the caution coming out and dropped to the back of the pack.
But they rest of the car's ahead were waved around and put behind. I swear in all other forms of racing if you are caught out by a yellow coming out its tough luck. See GP2 in Valencia (Calado), Germay (Leimer). Why is this different in NASCAR?? |

Watching RaceBuddy, the comment section is making my brain melt...
Did anyone get a good look at car 2 apparently rejoining the track too early? |

Keselowski and Dodge winning the championship would be interesting.

As to who will win overall? The head says Johnson. I think he and Knaus are too wiley to let 2 in a row slip through their fingers. Dark horse pick goes to Clint Bowyer, just cos I'd love to see how MW would react. |
