The Mercs were obviously fastest. But - we'll have to look at the other teams.
Torro Rosso. Good showing from them. McLaren. Upped their game here. However - I'm going to give it to Torro Rosso for having both cars in the points. |

I normally vote the team that gets the most points. That'd be Merc. But nobody saw STR's result coming.

Mercedes. Despite everything that went on in the race, from the conditions, to the iffy start and the real and virtual SCs, they still managed to pull it off and get the perfect result, for them.

STR.
during one of the many many hours of coverage, Max had commented that if the race was wet STR would finish top 6. at the time i chalked it up to youthful enthusiasm but despite the lack of running from all teams, the STR car really looked more dialed into the variable conditions then the others did. |

Mercedes of course. You can't argue with first and second. (And anyway, I've just bought one.)
Toro Rosso also look like contenders but I think the achievement was more down to the drivers than the team. McLaren were less mediocre than previously, so if I was a bleeding-heart liberal-minded primary school teacher I might have given it to them. Ferrari did pretty OK. So did Red Bull but the conditions probably flattered them. Williams were awful, sad to say. |

A difficult one, because many teams had one strong performance and another one go wrong with the driver (e.g. Force India and Hulkenberg or Ferrari and Raikkonen). Mercedes is a good obvious choice as they came through in the end and got to celebrate a championship with a 1-2 result, unlike in Sochi.
I think I'll have to go for Toro Rosso, though, for another canny result, showing (like McLaren-Honda, but to a greater degree), that being down on horsepower is not always going to be a limiting factor. They had Red Bull beaten and their drivers both put up generally strong performances. Once again, the former Minardi team have shown up some bigger teams (are Toro Rosso even that small anymore?). |
