Peter Brock Artwork
Gidday from OZ! This is a picture hand drawn by myself of one of Australia's car racing heroes of the last 5 decades Peter Brock and his all conquering Holden Torana A9X in 1979! The car is my all time favourite Aussie Tin top race car!
At the Bathurst 1000 km enduro in 1979,Peter and his co- driver the brilliant ex-pat kiwi Jim Richards started the car on pole, led every lap, (even while in the pits) Then with Peter at the wheel broke the lap record on the very last lap, and won by a huge 6 lap margin! The artwork is approx 900 x 600mm in size, and was created with Pencils and Marker pens, on 300gsm hot pressed paper! Hopefully the image will be clear, as I an new to this if not I'll try again! The cars are excellent !
I wouldn't pick Brock out of a lineup with this image though. (still much better than I could do though - Well done !) David. |
