Mika Salo doesn't miss Formula One

Nice positive article about Mika, who I'm really enjoying in this series:

He didn't think he would be hooked so quickly but said yesterday he immediately enjoyed the CART series "where everyone has a chance".

Nice article. Thanks for posting it. The "where everyone has a chance" is the primary reason I am attracted to CART as opposed to F1 as a fan. Don't take that as I don't like F1, I do. But if I had to make an exclusive choice...

After his first podium I was worried he wasn't enjoying CART. Good to hear that the opposite is true. I really think a lot of F1 drivers would be quiet happy in CART. Hope he spreads the word and we get some more world class talent. HHF would be a perfect match for CART.

This year the quality of racing wasn't that great at the start. Now we're getting real competition with the lesser teams learning how things are done and the Reynard now more competitive.

Great to see Salo enjoying himself. F1 is very good dont get me wrong and I love the series - but u know the score. If ur not in a top team u have no chance of a win. As for the standard of drivers in CART this year not being that high, well personally id argue otherwise. There is a lot of drivers from F3000 that have joined the series, and have a lot of talent. Bourdais has already shown what a F3000 champion can do. And Im sure that if Manning had a Lola rather than a Reynard hed be a regular podium finisher.

Still all in all, whatever happens this weekend we have had a great season of CART as far as Im concerned, lets hope it continues...and kicks the teams that switched to the IRL this year straight back in the teeth!
