Audi R15 Plus update?
Hey guys- newly registered here, but a long time reader.
Has anyone heard anything new from Audi regarding the progress of the R15 Plus and does anyone know what all of the changes are going to be? Other than the long thread in this forum, its hard to find any info on what Audi is up to. thanks! |

There was some info in the big Audi R15 thread. Not very specific but they told some things that were wrong with the R15 so we can assume that the + will address them

It's not the ACO rule's changes that are big, as those(in theory at least) are relatively minor. The bigger issue is that Audi is trying to make the R15 more suited for Le Mans-Mulsanne Mike thinks that for LM at least, that the R15 may have part of the aero tunnels(around the side pods that exit above the rear diffuser) blocked off to reduce drag. Audi may also be doing some work to improve tire wear so the aero tunnels and the nose chimney can be used to produce maximum downforce without hurting front tire wear.
