Where are the F3000 Lola T96/50s???

After six year of use, since 1996 to 2001 in both International and European 3000, the about thirty-five Lola T96/50 F3000 chassises are currently unused.
When Euro 3000 finished they usage, a new Italian consortium tried to used them to create an Italian F2 for 2002, but they failed to create this series.
It seems that nobody wants to use these cars, even Australians who preferred to use the F. Nippon chassises of that time instead for their F4000, then it's probably if someone wanted a T96/50, he would obtain it for a relatively cheap price.
I think many of the teams who entered Euro 3000 and even some of the International F3000 ones still have these cars, but I'm not concerned about it.
Anybody has an idea what was the destiny of at least some of these cars to solve this mistery???

I was offered one for under £4,000 not that long ago when there was a thread on here about old F3000s.

New Usage

They sound the ideal material for the British Sprint Championship - built for the racetrack, powerful, readily available, cheap and with those sort of numbers there should also be tons of spares on the market.

So where exactly are they all?

Another new usage

If interest in monoposto formula cars increases in Argentina, the F3000 Lolas would be ideal to create a new formula to replace the weak Formula Super Renault, a series that uses '80s and early '90s F3 chassises and about 2-litre Renault street car engines. Considering there is no interest about moving to Southamerican F3 because there is too expensive for the drivers and with lack of interest from the local press, the new F3000 formula could be a cheaper alternative to give our youngsters a ride in powerful and reliable cars (and Brazilians would be surely interested to use them too).
Using the Lolas to create a sort of remake of the Mecánica Argentina Formula 1 - a big dream for sure, but not impossible!

In Mexico still they are some of those cars, try to check in this page:

www.sporcar.com.mx

Once you get the website, go to the "Clasificados" item, and there you will find that they are selling some of the T96/50 cars that race in the late mexican f3000

Where are the F3000 Lola T96/50s???

the lola 96 50 & 98 50 car was a stepped floor fixed formula car with zytek engine detuned these cars are no match for the 91-95 f3000 cars that had free aero packs 3 manufacturers suppling cars with 3 engine packages creating true competiion race cars
1 make formulas create boring racing and under achieving race cars
if you want a real race car buy 88-95 f3000 car
the lola at £4k was an empty show car so dont confuse the cost of a real race car to a show car missing lots of parts!!

I always thought that the T/96's were beautiful cars. The later F3000's I never really liked. They are probably getting a bit old now to use for any new racing series, but I'm sure someone will find a purpose for them down the road.

i guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!
give me 94 cars any day
also the lola 96 is a low crank engine car and is really set up for the zytek kv motor
to fit a high crank engine involves al ot of expense in modifying the car and changing the suspension set up

Would seem to be a good bet for a "cheap" class within EuroBoss or Italian F3000.
