Very happy for Rocky. I was hoping the Porsche duet would do well last year but no luck.
This year I think the best of Audi won (the golden oldies need to share from time to time). |

From every interview I've heard with him at Le Mans over the last three years, he comes across as a genuinely nice guy. Very well-deserved result.

Rocky was great, but so were all the Audi pilots, not just those in #9. I would suggest that despite all the pre-race criticism, the Audi lineup this year was the best-balanced set of 3 trios they have ever fielded. All the drivers in all 3 cars seemed to be able to keep nearly the same pace, a real difference from the previous year. Dumas and Bernhard in particular lived up to everyone's expectations a year late, and all 3 newbies were quite solid and made that car the fastest of the 3 outright.
There were a couple of rocky moments for #7 - Kristensen's controversial shunt and Allan biffing the back of one of the AMR cars into the first chicane - and similarly for #8 - Lotterer's outbraking into Arnage and someone, maybe Fassler, having a moment in the middle of the night at the first chicane - that were caught by the TV cameras. In the grand scheme of things, however, they all did a good job keeping clean noses and the car underneath them. Kudos to all the lads! |

Someone should stick him in a car for the Spa 24 if they want to win at this rate!

Well there will be R8 LMS GT3 Audis there, and we don't know yet, but we might see ones run by Abt or Phoenix, and they have Audi factory drivers on their squad for major races, so...
