Head tells RS/JPM to get a grip.
"Williams' technical director Patrick Head has told Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya that they must grow up if they want to become serious challengers for the Formula One championship.
The Williams team have managed only three finishes from 14 starts this season, and while Head is pleased with the pace his drivers have shown he believes they will need to become more mature to match the great Williams partnerships of the past. "In terms of speed, they compare very well with our previous partnerships, but I wouldn't say they rank with the likes of Piquet and Mansell or Jones and Reutemann in terms of wisdom," Head told Motorsport News today." Neither of them are particularly experianced, and thus are both proned to moments of ditzyness. That being said, the majority of those DNF's have been down to forces beyond the driver's control. If anything, the team needs to work on the CARS reliability, and let the reliability of their drivers mature with it.

I agree here Tristan, Head I feel is a little out of line with these comments as the majority of Williams' woes have been down to mechanical failure.
However I would not class Ralf as inexperiance any more he's been around since 1997 so should have a fair grasp by now. |

How many years do you need to be an experienced F1 driver ? (I'm not talking about Montoya...) |
