McCoy dumped by Kawasaki
how depressing is it that the most exciting rider in the world gets stuck riding the biggest dog in all of MotoGP, then gets sacked for not doing better on it? well, not sacked, but no contract renewal. For gods sake someone give him a YZR500 for the rest of the season!!!

It's a real shame. Garry made a gamble in signing for the team, and it hasn't worked. I think as the seaosn wore on his confidence and enthusiasm dimmed, which is why we've seen Pitt in front of him several times recently.
At the same time, Kawasaki's perspective will be a) we pay Garry a lot more than Andrew and should expect better results than this and perhaps b) the money we pay him could be better used on development, with a cheaper rider onboard for now. This could be the right mvoe for both parties. Maybe the second Repsol bike will be avaialbel, or some otehr frontrunning bike. |

The Kwakka is a serious dog! In some was Garry is used to the instability at contract time, especially after the last few seasons
Bad news that the gig is gone, but it leaves him open to go somewhere better..... |

I hope that he will get a decent ride frankly.
That Kwak is not going anywhere right now. |

Bad news for Garry but in hindsight it may be good for him to get out there and try and find a more competitive bike. The Kawasaki is still years from competitiveness.

Was reading an interview with Garry in Racer today and he is seriously unhappy with that bike. Is the engine and the chassis he is most unhappy with he says. Just can't get it right.
Hoffman has got the ride for next year and part of the reason is that apparently he rides the bike in much the same way as Pitt. Hopefully with Haimsh Jamieson on board (tho he might leave now with McCoy as the two were together ar WCM) the team can concentrate on getting both similar riders to a level. McCoy did say that they were both at the same level anyway, It wasn't as if he was getting podiums and Pitt wasnt in the points. Also Kawasaki are typically Japanese in their approach. There is the bike like it or lump it. Very slow in responding to problems. What is it with the Japs, they are so proud. For God's sake the ZX7 was still on carbs in WSB! They need a European team to do all their development, much KR does. |

When you can't even beat the wild card 3rd rider (Hoffman), you have a bad attitude problem...
