1st Quali is done and Allmendinger has killed the field. Over 1/2 a second quicker than 2nd place PT and over a second faster than Wilson his teammate.
Very impressive! |

Well done to Allmendinger. He was much quicker than anybody else at the main straight. Bourdais waited too long, so Servia. Bad qualy for them. It should be better tomorrow for NH. Nice weather at the track by the way.

Q1 isn't always reflective of how Q2 or the race will go and it was red flagged, but...
1. Will Power is indeed impressive! Where the heck did this guy come from?!? (not meaning to be retorical) 2. Nice to see the NH boys down in the order a bit, like earlier in the season. It gets annoying to see them monopolizing the first spots. 3. Apparently Zwolsman put in a time that was quick enough for 14th, but it was disqualified. Of course this is simply and indication of how little his Atlantic championship is worth because as we all know this year didn't really count and which is why his time was ahead of McDowell (2004 Star Mazda Champ and coincidently DP pole sitter for the same race) and the 2002 CC champion. 4. Ranger had a time good enough for 4th until he spun and had it DQed. |

Snrub: Will Power came via Europe where he has been competing in World Series by Renault (after F3) and hoped to make it to F1. He is Mark Webbers protege and has had some support from him and other Australian businessmen. Like many young drivers, has built up some debt and has now decided he must earn some money to repay his backers. He is very very good and will win races very soon. Much more talent than Justin Wilson and the like.

Snrub, Will Power has been quick in anything that he drives. He will definately give this series a shake next year given half decent equipment. Was runner up in AUS FFord to Will Davison in what was probably the closest year ever, Think he won Aus F3 (could be wrong) Quick in British? F3 on limited budget and very unlucky in formula Renault. Was always at pointy end but had some bad luck. Did first round of A1GP and finished 2nd. Has also dabbled in V8 supercars and a Porsche at Bathurst 24hr, Once again right on the pace. Prob one of the top 5 Aussie drivers kicking around these days.

The only trouble I'm having with RD is loading the multimedia Archive clips and I have Windows Media 9 on the machine.

Maybe it is because I have got so much bad luck. I am probably as unlucky as Sato has been in F1 this year.

I rememebr when I first signed up, I had to re sign up then it worked but this back in April.......So I don't really remember how I fixed it. And BTW the support on the main website is slow, it may take a couple of days unfortuantely to get a reply.

Great, thanks to the unreliable Race Director I will have to use the stupid live timing for practice and qulifying and I will have to wait 24 hour after the race is complete to watch it on TV.

Don't you mean as talentless as Sato? In any case, selling the full season and then offering so many races as free 'one-offs' is pretty lousy behaviour. Did they really think they wouldn't need to do something like this to boost interest pre-season, given how bad the TV deal is?
You can't really give any credence to laptimes which were excluded, as the lap was probably artificially fast. Team Australia seem to have a good setup for this race as well, which is why Charles Z has done okay (although as it stands, D'Oh is the only slower driver) RuSport and Forsythe seem to have the edge over NHR this weekend - could be AJ's chance of a win, and maybe of moving up the final championship table. |

Some nice new liveries this weekend, the 2004 PKV livery that I previously raved over is back in the hands of Homero Richards, and Rodolfo Lavin has a nice cool blue Corona livery too,....
I was watching practice three on Race Director and lamented the baseball stadium section, without which this would be a great track.....again! |

It will be more interesting the second row, Bourdais and Tracy I dont think AJ or Justin will risk their positions. but the other two will be a different story Glock the fastest rookie followed by Power, great job by WP.
