If youve ever been to one of the drivers breakfasts at the casino on they always talk about The Drink which is on Orchid Ave.
So we went there the next year on Wednesday night a few years back and saw a couple of the drivers there. My mate even bought Max Papis a drink. No surprises that he asked for a Miller

he may know how to drive but his drinking taste is not like mine a local bar at broad-beach a bit away from the track got all decked out in millar flagging etc 3 or 4 of pallets of millars beer and didn't sell 1 stubby the whole week. thanks for the tip with the Drink bar I'll check it out

Welcome, bundy barney! But here at 10T's we make an honest effort to avoid dodging the autocensor.

FOSTERS I will make it to this race before 2009. I did get to visit Perth (Swan Lager) in the late 70's. I am anxious to return to land of Fosters mate. Thanks for the information.

Notes: you can do a brief tour of the pits on Thursday it costs money, but its cool for pics.
Last year the V8 paddock was open for free on thursday.
If the hot dog stand is near the first chicane, make sure that sit there for atleast one session watching the cars shoot in, then twitch out of the corners - whilest eating a riduculosly over priced hotdog.
'Ware the Castrol Dragster if it pops up, it'll ruin your hearing big time!

For action? I found that the row of porter-loos on the front straight is good for non race day viewing. The stands on the front straight are great. The first and second chicanes definatly. I didn't check out much of the back part of the track, but the fast chicane at the back is pretty awsome.
Note: Last year they had annoying commentators over the "Indy Tv" thing, and that was slightly annoying. And finally, tune into indy radio and...
...Enjoy yourself!

Ps: don't ask drivers dumb questions, I meant to ask what did he prefer his early 90s Bennetton or the current Cart cars and it came out "Whats better, CART or F1?" PT looked at me like I was stupid...damn shold worn my Indy500 '94 T-Shirt and got PT, JV to sign it

I remember last year that you could walk into the Procar scrutineering bay, but I couldn't find my pen and pad to get brockie to sign his autograph.

An make sure on raceday that you goto the right gate, you have to enter through the right one.

Hope some of this helps!

Try the ones in Orchid Ave like Shooters.

BTW, we've just had a huge downpour of rain today, over 10cm in the last 24 hours. http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDQ65...19.94580.shtml
And it's expected to rain later in the week as well. Could get interesting.

New to 10/10th but not to racing

How is everyone doing? I'm hoping to get some good info to post to my yahoogroup about the Champ Car Surfers Paradise race coming up.

I'm new here, so I don't know anyone here except perhaps a guy from Oz who turned me on to this forum, Robert Ryan, anyone know him?
