Just another way for TGF to make some money. Like he hasn't got money already! What next? TGF making adverts for golf clubs or something?

Is this the same company that paid Jean Alesi to do a shampoo advert a couple of years back?
He too was appallingly dubbed. But it could be that it's the only time ever that Jean has beaten Michael fair and square. |

Jean Alesi has much better hair than TGF.
People I'd rather see in shampoo commercials: Trulli, Zonta, de la Rosa, Verstappen. People I hope I never see in shampoo commercials: Jacques, Rubens, Cranky Mika. |

Actually Mika Hakkinen was first choice for this advert.
But it took him 30 minutes to read the 20 word lines, so they switched to Michael Schumacher. |

Why use TGF. Use HHF "I'm such a perfectionist when it comes to my hair, especially my sideburns. So this shampoo here [hold bottle up to face, turn to camera and smile] is the only one for me. And it helps to attract the Jordan pit girls!!"

I saw that about 2 months ago, are the testing the commercial in Sweden to see if it's selling before going world wide!?
Oh well, I certainly had a good laugh when a saw it, it was much better then Alesi's ad, although Jean's hair was much nicer. Woudn't be funny to see a driver doing a commercial for traction-control, he he. |

Yes, traction control in the shower!
Frenzy would be good in shampoo commercials, but, well, ... on the other hand, put lots of shampoo on his hair and make it stand up straight and he'd look just like a wishnik. |

In the advert that I saw, TGF was talking French! It was without doubt dubbed, it was not his voice. Can't remember which TV station it was on. Alesi used to do this advert, now TGF is the "hair" of this shampoo maker, whose name I shall not mention, because I don't get any money from them...
Some good suggestions on other "hairs" here, why not send this topic to the company... only if they provide consultants fee of course! |

I reckon the ad was originally shot in German, and then dubbed into every other language in the world (excluding Finnish, I expect )
But they must have paid him LOADS! It wouldn't have killed him to shoot it again in Enlish, would it? He's fairly proficient at the language after all. "Oi! Schumi! Sprechen sie Englisch??... Tuh! Dumkopf." |

Somebody tell me what kind of shampoo it is. I want to write them and ask if they've gone mad!
On the other hand, if anyone ever sees this commercial in Finnish, please let me know - is the dubbed voice familiar in any way? |

If they want the Finnish market, they'd be better off hiring Erja. As much camera time as she gets during the average race, she's as well known as most of the pilotes, and considerably better looking than at least half of the field!

But what a waste of money for the company only someone with no brain would buy shampoo just because Micheal Schumacher told them to....

Its definitely dubbed. I've seen it in Russian, Georgian, French and Azeri. I'm not even certain its actually HIM in the film.

HA HA HA! I saw the advert during qualifying today and fell about laughing.
The voice is SO not TGF's - it's VERY badly dubbed by some twit with marshmallows up his nose. I think Erja should do the advert. Did you see her looking very foxy today during qualifying? (Speaking of foxy was the fur coat she appeared to be wearing real or fake? Hmmm?) |

Perhaps it was made of the fox Jacques dispatched at Silverstone?
Dubbing in TGF's voice is sooooo silly. I wonder if he is ashamed when he sees it? No, silly me, he doesn't know the meaning of the word! (In the deathless words of John Cleese: "HAVE YOU NO SHAME? HAVE YOU NO DECENCY? HAVE YOU NO BATHROBE?") |

Peter, either TV reception is EXCEPTIONAL down there on the south coast, or you've been doing the 'Phileas Fogg' again!

You're right, it's not Schumi speaking is it? (NB I've only just seen this ad). Where has Ferrari's integrity gone? For god's sake, they allow their cars to be sponsored by ****ing TIC-TAC!!!!! Jesus wept!! Bring back that deal with Asprey's! Have a bit of class!!
"My Ferrari runs on just two calories!!" ********!! |

Hey!! I love that advert, makes my laugh every time. I also enjoyed that Eddie Irvine Tictac Ad and the Ron Dennis Nokia ad is a particular favourite of mine. The dubbing is unnecessary, I'm sure he could manage 'soft strong manageable' on his own. But the best driver surely for a Shampoo Ad is Villeneuve!! Errr, perhaps not, on second thoughts!!
