Fitzy it's too early to hear. The Selection Meeting is held during the first few weeks of January and only at that stage will invitations start to be processed. I think the invites usually come out around the beginning of February but if you search the previous threads on here you'll be able to see.

No problem Fitzy, if you keep an eye on here you'll know when the invites start to arrive. Different disciplines are sent out in batches so Pits usually arrive later than say Flags or Course.

Don't get impatient!!!!!
The selection meeting has yet to take place - I expect it to be sometime in January, but have not yet had a date given. Until that has happened the MSA will not be sending out any confirmations. As last year, as soon as I hear anything I will post it here. Judging by the number of volunteers i have processed I do not think we will be overcrowded with numbers. regards Chris Hobson National Chairman BMMC |

If the GP is perhaps not overcrowded and yet the Goodwood Revival is, does this not tell us something about the interest in F1 in this country, the last GP I did was at Brands, sorry but it just pants - Balders

Calm down stuart...no one has had any info on the GP yet...apart from application. If you've done that you should be hearing in the next couple of weeks. These things take a while. I am sure that all marshals that meet the application criteria will be asked to attend.

This year is no different to this year (in fact last year it was a bit later I think as there was some debate about the date and even whether there would be a GP).
The MSA need to ensure that everything is in place before they go through this process otherwise we'd moan that they were wasting money by organising something that didn't happen. If there's a date change after they've sent out invites then they'd have to resend it all with new reply cards with the cost and labour involved in all of that. If you're getting stressed about being hard done by now, may I suggest that you may not find the GP itself a pleasurable experience? |

IIRC from the days I did GP, it's usually late February when the invites come through?

I am lead to believe that the selection process happenned a few days ago, so don't panic people. invites will be out as soon as the MSA has processed the paperwork.
