The G-Oil car was on the streets of Toronto for a PR event today, and ALMS tweeted this pic. It is kind of an eerie peak into the future with big honking fins. The Michelin advert is hanging above the car in a position that makes it almost look attached like the fin will be.

That car comes to life in night-time racing (the graphics).

The shark fin won't be that bad and its the same for everybody. I still say its an overreaction.

IMSA put out a bulletin regarding Mosport pit lane procedures. Following a yellow, only LMP and LMPC will be able to pit on the first lap the pit lane is open, and only GT and GTC on the 2nd lap. but then the rules go don't apply in the last 30 minutes......not adding any confusion here....

So what happens if you have a flat or a problem, will you receive a penalty if it's not "your" lap?

Maybe you have to leave it their parked until the pace car comes around for the 2nd lap.

Wasn't there a situation similar to this in Sebring? When a Porsche (Falken Tire) caused a caution and went into the pits before they were opened? I think they worked on the car right away but can't remember if they got any penalty.

It was the #45 Flying Lizard after being hit by the Falken Tire Porsche's wayward wheel, they had to sit in pit lane for 2 or 3 laps before they were allowed to touch the car.

I forgot about that, that was a seriously long wait for IMSA to open pit lane.

Well with any luck we wont' have any issues come up with this rule at Mosport. There are fewer GTC cars than normal, so maybe that will help.

WTF? When is the SPEED Channel #2 coming; ya know, the one they were talking about that would be dedicated to showing events live, and actual racing 24/7.
