Audi Sport Team Veloqx

As reported by DSC ..... Allan McNish would, we believe, race at Sebring, in the four LMES races and at Le Mans, with the already confirmed drivers (Jamie Davies / Guy Smith / Pierre Kaffer), while Johnny Herbert would join these four at Sebring and Le Mans (as would Frank Biela).

Nishy is back I hope ..... WooHooo ..... welcome back

Where does that leave Perry McCarthy ? He was quoted as saying at the Autosport show that he had a drive lined up for LeMans and he has a good chance at overall victory , what does this mean ?

Duffacus should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I like that last comment about this news of DSC:

To potential rivals at Sebring, Le Mans and in the LMES, the message is a very clear “chase this lot”.

Good question about Perry though, anyone have anything about his Le Mans this year?

It would appear as though McNish is still a potential driver for Jordan... or so the story goes. It would be great to have him back, no doubt, but I wonder how set in stone this is.

Perhaps PM is a back up for AM... perhaps...
Good to have Nishy back though!

Verstappen's talks with Jordan have broken down ..... Put him in the RfH Dome . Nishy might get the Jordan drive ..... Rather not !!!

Badger, your post confuses me a bit. I thought the regular drivers were Biela/Kaffer and Davies/Smith. That would leave McNish and Herbert for the Sebring and Le Mans. Or will Veloqx run three drivers per car per race for the LMES. This goes against the trend of most of the Audi teams that have run primarily with two drivers in the 1000K events.

I think it would be Jamie Davies/Guy Smith/Pierre Kaffer/Allan McNish for LMES and Biela and Herbert for Sebring + Le Mans.

Whichever way it shakes out, the team should have a cracking season with this lot. I look forward to cheering them on at Silverstone.

It might not be Herbert for Sebring anymore, not if the Lotus plan takes off and Herbert takes the Lotus seat...

Or he must be well paid to do some testing. The marquee name may make it easier to sell rides, in a car that is hopelessly outmatched, no matter who drives it.

I am not sure about this one - I'm 100% certain that Johnny will be in car come Le Mans. As for Nishy not sure, he was on ITV's coverage of the World Rally Championship on Sunday saying that he is still talking to Eddie Jordan. I think once we know what is happening there the Audi UK picture will become a lot clearer.

Congrats to fellow forum member, Mr. Smith, on the R8 drive. I'm pulling for whatever number your car's gonna be. I'd have to say a win is well within reach.

Just got to say, I've just seen the veloqx colour scheme over on DSC, and it looks great! Purple and Silver are working real good together. Lovely.
