Jersey National Hillclimb rounds 19 & 20.
Simon gets his first win in Jersey ! Grovesy breaks 11 year old hill record in Jersey! What a good event it was.
Looking forward to Guernsey on Saturday. Last edited by terrydlm; 13 Jul 2006 at 21:34. |

uummm well lots happenned.
Old hill record was 38.65 Grovesy got that down to 38.47 in the 2nd run off. Rob Turnbull was fastest qualifier in the 2nd round. Moose span on the 1st practice run at cafe corner but did not hit anything. The track was very slippery on the 1st practice. It was like racing on ice ! The road got better from the 2nd practice run. Simon Durling had a bump over the finishing line on the 2nd run off. He is OK & the car is not damaged. Trevor Willis could not get round radio corner as he did not have enough lock on is steering but he sorted that out for the run offs. Scott & Roger went very well finishing in the top positions. Sorry can't remember exact places or times. I think Grovesy said he is now 2 points ahead of Scott again in the championship. Paul Ranson spun at Cafe corner on the 2nd qualifying run. He did not hit anything. Chris Merrick went very too. Last edited by terrydlm; 13 Jul 2006 at 22:10. |

Oh yes Simon's run was good, the bits i saw. Grovesy too was mega ! Scott did a 38.70 so Grovesy really had to go for it and he did not disappoint.
Thankfully no repairs required for Guernsey & most drivers are here already. Forecast is good for Saturday too so fingers crossed for another exciting event. Question is will Moose get his first illusive win at home ? |
