I enjoyed it
Was just good to see f1 cars back on the track after the short break. How ever I do wonder if it takes shine off Sunday. If I was only going to the track one day, I would go on sprint saturday, You get to see qually and a race as well as supports. |

I was curious as to why A/T and Maclaren sent the cars back out after pitting. Even if the car was in good condition, there was zero chance of points. Why not just park it and save engine etc or possible crash.
Once its clear you arent going to score points, why not retire it? |

Plus it would have given them info on tyre deg and the like that could assist with tweaks, pressures, approach for the Grand Prix. Don't understand A/T sending Tsunoda out with the right rear skew whiff though - that made no sense at all. |

That might be the very point Steve wanted to make.
It is not a GP and the allocation of points for something less than a GP has the ability to distort the overall championship. I would certainly think that way and gave it a similar score. |

This feels more like a NC GP and would probably work better that way.

3 from me. I don't like the sprint races and apart from having a good chortle at Verstappen of all people moaning about being squeezed by another driver I thought it was pretty dull.

Just dreadful. Format and circuit. The multiple mini qualifying sessions made me loose interest. Add to that the country's human rights record.

2. I don't like the sprint races, however at least with the old format there was a direct effect on the actual GP race. I thought the new format would bring something new, but all it has done is turn the sprint race into a stand alone event.

I wanted to like it, because I'm sort of an advocate of the format being used sometimes, but Verstappen passing Leclerc like he was standing still with the awful DRS took a lot of fun out of it. |

The sprint is a nonsense. It adds nothing to the GP because it simply replicates the results, or close to them, of the GP order.
In effect this spreads the championship separation out, rather than close it up so its meaningless. If the grid for the sprint was a reverse of the previous days qualifying that would certainly add a lot more spice to the event and provide much more interest. Perhaps if the Friday was an hour or 90 min of practice, then GP qualifying, but no park ferme. following day was another hour of practice then a sprint from a full reverse grid of the previous days qualifying, with points awarded as per present, then no park ferme and another warm-up on G.P. day morning followed later by the race on the Friday grid, that would make each weekend more interesting. I don't like reverse grid races but if Liberty and FIA want something more spectacular then why not something really spectacular. |

Just get rid of the sprints. Its a flawed concept. And the latest change to the concept is for the worse.
