I think last years Dubai 24 hour race was also affected. It is very rare to get lots of rain in Dubai so to hit two motorsport events is very weird

Stewie, I recommend that you take lots of layers for the 24 hour race. It gets really cold at 2 in the morning. Last January I was wearing t-shirt, shirt, fleece and big orange padded waterproof, and was just about OK.
The rain we had that time wasn't as bad as last weekend, but some of the run off areas were flooded, so we had about 2 hours running under the 60 klick flag (equivalent of the old battenberg).

The fog at Brands for the trucks last month was a bit wierd.

Standing at post 6 and not being able to see 7 was one thing but at times we couldn't see 5 either!

It wound up race control too, it cleared, then came down thicker!

Afraid to report that the weather has improved considerably (but they're still pumping the water out of some parts of Dubai). Anyone attending the 24 hours will need to wrap up warm, chilly in the evenings for a couple of months now.

The french mechanics from the Morgan team spent much of Saturday surfing down the pitlane..

Had an excellent day spectating on Friday, thanks to the UK team for coming out and making it happen.
