The Le Mans 2009 Ten-Tenths meeting thread
A bit less than three months before the race. Ayse has just given me the idea for starting the thread today, one month earlier than last year.
Let's hope we will gather at least the same number of tenth-teners and some new visitors ! And maybe we will celebrate several comebacks ! |

Yes, that's a good link on from my 2008 identification thread - pictures of trees will be needed soon!

And I will once again be there in a marshalling capacity, out at poste 106 near Arnage. But with trips to the tribunes and town centre when I'm off duty.

I know full well that you'll be the first person I see at Le Mans who I know - it happens that way every where I go....... Quote:
Well, assuming that the ACO don't try and scupper our plans by chopping down said tree - I think that makes sense, everyone? By the way, what is the usual time again? |

The ACO does semm to like cutting down large trees, and then replacing them with saplings that never last until the following year, however that tree is still there at the moment and they seem to be leaving the village alone to concentrate on other areas. 11.30 sounds great to me |

With 12 weeks to go, I reckon we should hold fire before trying to pin down a time to meet. Last year we met 15 minutes after the end of the Group C support race. Shouldn't we wait until the ACO has released the timings for this year's support races (2 this year, one legends and one Formula Le Mans)?
Locationwise, it certainly makes sense to stick with our tree. I wonder if Paul Collins' sticky tape from 2007 will still be in evidence? |

The pitwalk starts at 12:00, just like last year, so I doubt the ACO will want to extend the support races any later this year.
I'm happy to go along with any time that suits most folks. |

We can start at 11:30 and go on until 13:00. There will be enough glasses and wine.

I enjoyed the meeting and will try and attend again this year, time permitting I'll hang around for the group photo this time. Maybe I'll bump into Pascal while trying to exit garage blanc once again too |

If I say I will try to make it - I simply will not for a number of reasons - so another tack this year...
Unfortunately I am unlikely to make it... Let me know where and when though... |
