It's BRDC Track day Our E'type Jag and Brabham BT4 are there both have no silencers at all

The Grunty one is Probabley the E'type, f**k me its loud when your daft enough to forget to fit ear plugs before your 2 hour stint around the Nurbergring . Its ok after though coz you can't hear a thing for days.

Nina, I apologise in advance but we will be there tomorrow adding to the noise level. Maybe if you are lucky it will snow...Cos that's the latest forecast.

Hey Yes, its been so cold here today and sky does look heavy! Hope for your sake it doesnt snow!

Oh I love the noise - Its just frustrating when you dont know whats making the noise! And even more frustrating that there are ppl over the road there having fun testing cars and Im here writing scripts and getting really bored!

Have a good day tomorrow

On the Stowe track Mackmot? Bit of everything race-wise, and a sprint I believe.

Please don't let him crash into my newly acquired (and not run for years) Swift Zetec then...

I think we're upto six entries now!

I ought to point out that its a Tim Sugden car not one of mine and Im not doing anything to the set up and their is not data. So in advance it could be the cars fault but its not my fault.

You should have put your finger in your ear then. Oh sorry, you can't LOL

Just debating whether to click 'Submit Reply', as I am not being very nice here am I?

Still, you did leave 3 trophylets at the Do, so finger poised and to hell with the consequences so

'stand by and action'

Are those ancient racing cars there with the aeroplane engines in them?!

The bonnet/engine part was about 20ft long or something... The LOUDEST thing I have ever heard.

The image was made perfect by the fact Biggles was driving it. He kept ripping it down the straight on the national circuit at Silverstone.

Obviously the confusion over which county the circuit is in meant that the gritters didn't get out onto the circuit last night...,

Certainly is. You see Silverstone, the village, with which I note you are familiar, is in Northtamponshire. Fair enough, but over half of the circuit is in Buckinghamshire, including, it has to be said, all the good bits, except the paddock, and including the new proposed entrance to the circuit.

So when some ill-informed konb-head like James Allen calls it the Northamptonshire circuit, one should always cry out "What? Rockingham?" cos that is at least wholly in Northamptonshire.

This was actually a serious problem once when there was a spectator injury in one half of the circuit and because everyone assumed it was the responsibility of South Northants DC they dealt with it - but if anything had gone wrong, woo there would have been trouble!

I'm campaigning for there to be "Welcome to Buckinghamshire" and "Welcome to Northamptonshire" signs located in the appropriate places (I think it's just before Maggotts for the former and just before Bridge for the latter).
