New liveries
Some teams have "unveiled" their new look for the coming season already - thoughts?
Still not sure about the Netherlands new look; it may look less horrible at speed though? No idea why the Czech team have got rid of their (IMHO) excellent livery of the last two seasons and decided on this instead: India are now going to be racing in their "national colours" - light blue and white: The Portugal car looks a lot more distinctive than the last couple of years, and good to see a sponsor already prominently displayed on the car: |

I quite like the Dutch livery I don't think that picture does it justice. It's much nicer in the flesh.

I'm living in hope that Team GBR will come up with a decent livery for this season. The old one was just so boring. If there was a bunch of cars in picture, you could spot GBR just because it was so drab!
For me, the best livery ever was Team Brazil in year one, especially with Nelsinho Piquet's distinctive helmet. |

Oh I just love it when they try to get to clever.
Netherlands should have taken a look at what didn't work for Red Bull F1 at Silverstone or what doesn't work for Honda F1. If you try to be to clever and get to caught up on the detail it will look all over the place at a distance. When designing a race cars livery you need distance, it's OK to be clever but distance is what's needed. If your designing a show car that could be a different story. |

The Dutch livery has grown on me I must be honest.
That Czech livery is abysmal though. What are they thinking? |

I rather like the new British and Indian liveries. Can't say that the Czech design is particularly aesthetically pleasing.

I prefer the old one. I thought it was cleaner and was recognisable enough on TV. This one might result in some confusion with France or the USA in some TV shots.

You have a point there - too many countries have red, white and blue as their national colours - but the guy who designed the new colour scheme has a very successful record in the past, so I'm hopeful it will work. It does for me!

So far I've only really liked the Portuguese and Indian new liveries.
The new GBR paintjob just looks rubbish. Some of these really do look like they were drawn by 5 year olds... Is it just me or does the Australia car have a lighter shade of yellow/green this year? |

The Dutch livery is a design of a fan. It's the result of a design contest. Best design would be fitted on the car as the livery for 2007/08.

The World has gone mad...if GBR's livery wasn't working why have France adopted it...and vice versa!
I think the Canadian one is awful...a matter of personal taste I guess. I think France, GBR, Canada, Brazil and the Netherlands should all have kept the original designs from season 1. The new India one is not bad but also think the original flag design was better. |

Au contraire Kiwi. At least we'll be able to pick it out from the crowd this year; I couldn't tell Canada's same ole white livery apart from a half a dozen other cars on the track last year.
It remains to be seen I guess. Quote:

Don't be too depressed when you appear to come around the first corner second last...it's actually Satrio Hermanto.
