Les should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Thoughts on Oulton Park

OK - loads of ramblings so just bear with me.

Sprint race - and what a race - very nice to see the Production cars win it and get to the top step of the podium - beat that upset the Touring boys. Kurt Luby was superb in the Lexus - he was secnd for a lot of the race and successfully held up all the others! Tim Harveys Alfa went well, Dave P still had engine probs and retired. Good win by Yvan.

Feature race was fun! It was a close race and I am not sure how many laps, if any, the Production boys were beaten by. Tom Boardman had a hell of a race with Peter Cate and Rick Kraemer. Phil Bennett was a 'naughty' boy pushing Kurt Luby at the bottom of Cacades making him take the Fosters route. Quick 180 degree turn and he rejoined. Phill had damaged the car and returned to the pits with shredded tyre.
What was most suprising was that Tim Harvey came third in the Alfa after Plato retired. He was mighty chuffed and that trophy is no pot!

John B&Q got a good 10th and a big thankyou from us for the drinks Saturday night, the flag and the other things which I will keep quiet about!!!

and lastly - I thought the Clios were excellent. Did you realise that Jim Seniors qualifying time this year would have put him on pole last year - you listening RickP?

I'm going to do my thoughts on the BTCT field;

Vauxhall MSport - Plato was unlucky in the feature race not to finish at east second. In the sprint likewise but he had an excellent drive from the back of the field. The Oulton demon strikes JP again! He still, in my view, looks like a match for Yvan who had an immaculate weekend and now has the initative in the c'ship.

Team Egg Sport - Thommo still doesn't quite seem as quick as Yvan or JP. He still very consistent, though, and is a definate c'ship challenger. Phil Bennett is doing what he does best this season-being fourth! He was unlucky to not get a podium though. Driving Well.

Peugeot Sport UK - Steve Soper i think is the fastest non-Astra driver. He's driving well and if the Pug can find a bit more speed he's not that far behind the Astra's. Eaves is still a tad disappointing, and he was certainly slower than Harvey and Luby all weekend.

JSM - Harvey had a couple of cracking races-well done Tim! He's certainly not lost anything in the couple of years he's been away. Hopefully he'll stay there. Pinkney is still getting the butt of the mechanical problems w/the Alfa, but he's still a bit slow for me.

ABG - The Lexus is coming on immensley. I can honestly say i a couple of meetings i can see Luby and Erdos up w/the Astra's. The speed is definately there and there is more to come with testing and experience. And RWD definately was an advantage, even if a smal one.
