James is filling in for 3 rounds (already done 1) for the injured Steve Plater.

I think Emmett has done himself no favours has he? I dunno he rides that year olf IFC bike and is right up ,in the chjampionship, then swops to an R! and still goes well to keep up his challenge.
Gets sacked from Renegade for being naff, then goes well on the ETI bike.
Seems loike he can only go well as an underdog on old bikes! Very similar to Hizzy a few years ago.
As for Haydon, he is and always will be a fast crasher!

I've always thought Sean was a top rider and he deserves the chance to be in a top team. I didn't think the Duke was up to the Honda/Suzuki standard but when he gets beaten by Dean Thomas (on a 998) and Leon Haslam on Pirelli tyres, something has got to be wrong!!!

Just read a fascinating interview in Racer with Emmett and Paul Bird.
Emmett is pretty mystified with the lack of form. Apparently he can't get the right feeling from the front, ala Toseland.
But seems like Laconi can run with it and Neil and Ruben last year.
Chili hates the new bike aswell so maybe there is a problem affecting particlar styles.
Birdy pulls no punches though accusing Emmett of being lazy and not training. Even says "he can't even book a hotel room by himself!"
Both parties admit the championship is done and I think to be honest knowing Paul's hard hitting style if Sean doesn't buck his ideas up he will get the sack.
Makes you wonder when apparently he spoke to Pitt,Haga and McCoy about riding for Monster this year!

Haga and McCoy presumably felt that a World ride was a better mvoe, and I think they're right, as it keeps them in the international spotlight and doesn't involve moving or learning new tracks. On paper Emmett's a better choice than Pitt, but I agree that he's really on disappointing form this year, and needs to buck his ideas up. Maybe Haydon would've been a better choice.

Haydon would only be a better choice of you got free bodywork and engine cases for the crashing he seems to do.
Would be nice to know what is really going on. Is Sean just one of these guys who can only ride when the chips are down?
