the numbers of the cars
What with the 2008 cars having the car numbers on the windows and not on the cars like the past?.

This was debated at length towards the end of last year after it was
trialled on Tanders car during practice in Tassie and the Island. It's to give the marshall's clearer vision of the numbers. |

Don't need to have the marshalls input anymore, as a well heeled microphone driver tells us all. With the new cameras, marshall's reports are a thing of the past when it comes to V8'S
So there is no need for marshalls to report incidents with the V8's Just leave it to race control |

The presence of that car number has been annoying the hell out of pro-teams for decades. V8 Supercar's first attempt to do away with them was one year at the pre-season Albert Park support race in the early 00's they ran all ran a uniform size tiny number, similar but smaller than the one I think Porsche Supercup used to have and it created problems from being too hard to tell cars apart and was abandoned before the next race meeting. |

I remember at the Grand Prix in 1999, HRT had tiny numbers.

I didn't like the idea to begin with but I 'm beginning to like the idea. Will they still be able to put both drivers' names on the windows and the number at the enduro's?

i reckon it would be good to have the fluro yellow on the lead car and say fluro orange or another bright colour on the second car to make it even easier to tell the 2 cars apart that have the same livery.
