And what a noise....really awful noise, can't describe what it sounds like. Where did Mader get this engine? Is it BMW or something? Or is it a real "Mader nothing"

Huh, Didier Bonnet complains a lot about this engine, whatever it is, and wherever Mader found it (in BMW's bin ?).

Gérard Welter, or more precisely one of his pilots, as complaining about the WR's engines too...

It's a real question of money, we cannot say they're rich... but they try hard

and work a lot ; that's sports type allright !

I'd been wondering what type of engine the Mader was as well- the Deboras that ran in SR2 in the FIASCC a couple of years ago used BMW striaght-sixes (although I think I remember a 2-litre Ford Cosworth turbo at Le Mans, and didn't Pierre Bruneau put a Nissan V6 into his example at one point?).

Dider Bonnet seems to have a history of using BMW engines in his sportscar projects (think the first time I was aware of him was when he ran Group C2 ALDs in the late 80's),so presumably is this still a BMW of some description?
