GT4 delayed yet again
Just been told that the release date of GT4 has now been put back again to the 16th March for 'logistical reasons'.....
This isn't right. |

It is getting rather silly. If it was any other game, I'd not buy it because of the continual delays, even though that's rather like cutting off my nose to spite my face.
If they have the 'right' cars in, then I'll forgive them. Last edited by krt917; 20 Jan 2005 at 12:59. |

This is like the McLaren MP4-18....They should just skip to GT5 and put 4 to bed.

I won't be getting this one. I was hoping it would have online multiplayer. They dropped the online play and it was STILL delayed more and more.

Rumour is that they are due to bring out an online disc to update it later in the year. Two words: Yeah Right. I think they bit off more than they could chew, but the possibility of online racing at the Nordschleife kept me hanging in there.

I'm pretty happy with mine. Got through only 8% of the game after 3 weeks.

The most challenging so far is doing the Nurburgring in under 6m:45s.
Imagine rounding the last bend too fast and getting all 4 wheels on the grass at 6m:31s and having to start all over again. Repeat this for about 20 times and see how cool you feel then. Definitely need to consider a GT force Pro wheel for this. |

Just be thankful you aren't waiting for Duke Nukem Forever. That game is over 8 YEARS late.
I'm not a big fan of console racers but GT4 looks awfully good... I might even pick up a PS2 for it. Last edited by Silk Cut Jaguar; 21 Jan 2005 at 21:52. |

Whats sad is that Forza might come out before it and kick its butt mainly to the cars it has and online play. But I will still get GT4 mainly because of the tracks and not the cars themselves this time.Last time it was the cars now it is the tracks.

No,just for the Xbox.I believe as well that another game for the PS2 coming out soon is calle Euthanasia(sp) racing, not quite as intense on game play as GT4 but looks good.

Ah, glorious GT4. I got GT, GT2, GT3, GT Concept Tokyo-Geneva, skipped GT4 prelude which came out Christmas 2003, and now GT4.......

the reason i got told from my local store was that sony are bringing out a smaller portable version of the ps2, to allow play on the move, so in their wisdome the held back gt4 to coinside with the release of the new machine

Oh no, I've seen some footage and was really looking forward to the release. It's a lot like what happened with The Sims 2. It was supposed to be March 2004, then July and it was finally released in September 2004. I feel your pain.

How can it be coming out on the 16th?
Games only come out on Fridays don't they? Occasionally Thursdays? Last edited by Knowlesy; 22 Jan 2005 at 15:43. |

Some bad news I'm afraid. GT4 isn't out until the 24th of March now!
But GT4 with the steering wheel is out on the 18th, so i ordered that! As for Forza Motorsport, that has been delayed until the very end of April. I think I'll sit in the garage tonight and gas myself with exhaust fumes.... |

Is Axel Rose the new president of SECC or something?
Well we all know it'll be worth the wait, so lets just hang in there.... |

I'd imagine what'll happen here is that GT4 will be released earlier than the previously announced dates.
I remember waiting for GT3. There was a week to go until its release, I flicked on text and there was a review of GT3 and it said that it was out that very day, a week earlier than scheduled. This was at half past four, the shops shut at five......man, you have never seen me run to the shops so fast! |

i think Forza is X-box only, so they have a game capiable of challanging GT4 and showing the best capiabilities of the console.
