2015 World Superbike...
Alstare have just inked a deal to run the factory Ducati team for 2 years - Checa remains & is joined by Ayrton Badovini...

Strange choice of second rider to be honest, Badovini was very decent in 2011, but been hopless on the same bike in 2012.
I feel the should have gone for Guinters or maybe enticed Simeon back from being rubbish in Moto2, he is Belgian after all, and has ridder factory Ducatis |

Don't know why they didn't stick with Giugliano - surely he would've been better in his 2nd year on the bike... Hopefully Badovini impresses!
Kevin Curtain is doing the Australian round of the World Supersport Championship on a Yamaha - be great to see him rubbing elbows one last time with fellow old fart Foret... |

I'd assumed Badovini must have brought money, hence why Guintoli didn't get the seat..... maybe Guintoli to replace Biaggi? |

Lol gom, you had to manage somehow to get an Aussie in there somehow, you crack me up! He must be 50!!
Giugliano is great, total nutcase but he crashes a lot! I think Guinters will be on the Aprilia, seems likely seeing as he turned down the Suzuki, also why isnt Tommy Hill on anyones list, he has told the press here that he is taking a sabbatical? Unless he is sick or something |

I think I read a rumor that Althea could be taking over the Aprilia team. But have not seen anything else on that. Yamaha would be smart to move back with them.

I would say Tommy has the ability to be a beter rider than Tom, but Tom has grafted and got into a real good run at Kawasaki.
Tommy is a champion after all and was dominating the year in 2012 before a rather mysifying drop in form in the shootout. Saying that I think Chinner has gone up a level this year and hope he can run up front in 2013, but I also think Ducati will be back up front, Flammini will want it that way! |

MV have never used a Suzuki engine in my knowledge! THe 750 and 1000cc egines are all their own.
The 675 might not be theirs, not sure. Aprilia used a Suzuki engine in the roadgoing 250 2 stroke. |

I doubt it cg, he is not a well man and is having a year off trying tog et fit, I imagine he might have been sorting out some affairs in the UK, he lived here for a bit and maybe has business links here, he announced last year that his injuries are forcing him out for next year too

Giugliano remains with Althea - on an Aprilia... Single bike entry I believe!

Confirmed line-up so far is:
BMW Motorrad Italia - Marco Melandri, Chaz Davies Alstare Ducati - Carlos Checa, Ayrton Badovini Pata Ten Kate Honda - Jonathan Rea, Leon Haslam Aprilia Racing - Eugene Laverty, Sylvain Guintoli Provec Kawasaki - Tom Sykes, Loris Baz FIXI Crescent Suzuki - Leon Camier, Jules Cluzel Althea (Aprilia) - Davide Giugliano MR Ducatti - Max Neukirchner It looks good at the front, good bunch of riders and manufacturers but the grid is looking a bit thin on the ground. Only 14 riders confirmed, we might see Pedercini again, maybe 1 or 2 more but looks like a grid of 20 would be optimistic. Looks like a holding year until we see some cost cutting rules for 2014. |

I like Max too, he has a great snes of humour, but injuries really blighted him, he maybe cam back too soon the first time he broke his lag after that awful Monza crash.

Yes, it seems he was at his best on the Suzuki SBK until the crash - never really found his feet since which is unfortunate for him...
