"Insert pun here"
Italian cooking in Shanghai? Yep, Casey or Loris for the win. And maybe that slight looking spanish fellow with the robotic charm. Oh yes, and I suppose Rossi will be in with a shout. The real question the Rossi faithful should be asking, will the Michelin man show up? |

If it rains: Barros, Rossi, Roberts and maybe even Vermeulen might have a chance .
If its dry: Pedrosa, Stoner or Rossi. |

If it is dry I should imagine Ducati will walk it.

Inserting a pun here?
It's the case for Casey to leave China with a smile up his chin and a win in his case (sorry but English is not my mothertongue and it shows..) |

"Santa Maria! what kind of expression issa that" ;-) on topic, from Rossi's comment from after the first race, will they have to paint lines down the straights, Ducati's here, rest over here? Gonna be interesting to see what wicks have been turned up with the "rest" and if some go "boom". Last edited by djb; 4 May 2007 at 04:06. |

Can Stoner build a Great Wall between himself and his championship rivals?

Quite amazing really, one second separates 1st and 15th! Not sure what's up with the final four.
Resurgence of Nicky Hayden? I must confess, this is not the track I would have expected that to happen at. Did the Repsol squad get a horsepower boost? Other than Melandri, the next Honda is down in 10th. Hopkins is making Vermeulen look a bit slow. And for once, Capirossi in front of Stoner. Last edited by jhansen; 4 May 2007 at 15:10. |

Jacque is out, on his way back to France and doubtful for Le Mans according to autosport.com. It wasn't a big accident, but they say he got his arm caught under the bike and suffered a deep cut.
It is incredibly close; with a good mix of Michelin and Bridgestone at the front. Still with the four Ducatis fastest through the speed traps, surely they can make it count come race day on that straight. |

A shame we're down to one Kawasaki, although this might be the moment which leads Eckl to reconsider whether Olivier deserves that ride. Ironic that it happens at the scene of his one decent MotoGP ride.
Even on one of the longest track, a full second ahead of anybody else is an ominously quick time. Still, he wasn't the fastest throughout practice, so maybe they aren't so strong on the long runs. |

That was astonishing from Rossi. And he so nearly beat his time again!
The race won't be a cakewalk though I doubt. He will have to break them before they get to the long straight, otherwise it will be quite hard work. |

That's a massive lap from Rossi. I wonder where race pace will be?

Still put my money on Stoner and that top speed winning through. But Rossi will overcome. Maybe Hopkins for a rostrum.
Lucky escape for the wildcard in 250. It was a horrible crash, much like Locatelli in Jerez. |

Yes, I honestly thought he was dead. That was a quite horrendous accident.
The location of those barriers have been in question since F1 first visited in September 2004 and still nothing has been done. |

sounds very yucky, for want of a better word. We can all watch crashes after the fact wehn one knows the rider/driver is okay, but as someone who has raced at a bike weekend when someone died, it aient fun watching something that you think has serious consequences for someone.

That was a good race for the Ducati and for Stoner. This is going to be hard for Rossi to win the championship this year.
BTW I'm new here |
