2014 Bet 'Em CupContest - Challenger round 1

Hi, folks! Welcome to the 2014 Bet 'Em CupContest. It will feature four rounds as per the new Chase system.

The Challenger round 1 comprises the Chicagoland, New Hampshire and Dover races.

You must pick five different drivers:

o- Round winner ($ 3,000) -
o- Race winner ($ 1,000) -
o- Top 3 ($ 300) -
o- Top 5 ($ 100) -
o- Knockout ($ 300) -

The bet rules are:

o- The Round winner is the driver leading the standings after Dover.
o- Race winner will be awarded to drivers who win any of the three races.
o- Top 3/5 will be awarded to drivers who get a top 3/5 at any of the three races.
o- Knockout will be awarded to Chase drivers that don't qualify to the Contender round.

The stakes for the Challenger round 1 are:

o- 4 to 1: Keselowski, Gordon, Earnhardt, Johnson, Logano.
o- 8 to 1: Kenseth, Harvick, Edwards, Hamlin, Kyle Busch.
o- 15 to 1: Biffle, Kahne, Newman, Kurt Busch, Larson, Bowyer, Menard.
o- 30 to 1: Allmendinger, Almirola, McMurray, Vickers, Rest of the field.

Nobody picked Keselowski as round winner. NaBUru38 chose him for race winner and got $ 4,000. Gomick earned 4,500 for picking Biffle for the knockout, whereas NaBUru38 cashed $ 9,000 for selecting Almirola.

1st - NaBUru38: 0 + 4,000 + 0 + 0 + 9,000 = $ 13,000.
2nd - Gomick: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 4,500 = $ 4,500.
3rd - Skells22: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = $ 0.

Wow, that escalated quickly! I'm surprised that Skells22 got no money, especially since the top 3 and top 5 bets were awarded for several drivers.
