Ok, who is going, who's bringing what, how much alcohol is required? Just thought it should get organised as there's only just over a week to go (yay!)

This one is going to be a biggy as far as 10 Tenths goes... big party on the campsite on Saturday night - everyone invited! Bring beer and food and be prepared for a laugh!
To anyone who's not camped before, it's about time you started! Huge fun!! It might not be able to match Le Mans, but let's get in training for next year and give it a go, eh ? Seeya there folks! |

Not 100% sure where camping will be... it used to be around the back of the circuit on the road out to Starkey's Viewing Area, but it was closed as a F&M precaution and the camping was moved alongside the museum. Either way, it's free, simply roll up and pitch your tent... I think everyone's got my mobile number, so just bell me if you can't find the party...! Donington is always great as far as camping goes, cos they really don't care what you get up to or how much noise you make, so a good laugh is guaranteed...!
I have a spare small tent... apparently it's for three people, but i'm sure you'd have to be doing something illegal to get three people in... two at a squash. Seeing as bella and MF are after a place to sleep, they can use this if they're nice to me and promise to behave in it...! Everyone should aim to get there as early as possible on the Saturday as the paddock on practice day is surprisingly relaxed and you can getto meet and chat with all the drivers pretty easily. We'll also get the chance to pitch the tents and have a beer or two before camping. Spoonerboro should bring his catering gear, and we should supply the food. I like SL's idea of bringing your own beer and sharing the food... do we need to make a shopping list ? |

I'll be there but not camping, staying in a local B&B. The campsite last time I camped there was on the field outside the circuit in between coppice and the chicane area.
Will still join you on the campsite for the evening. What do you all do for something to eat in the evening. Shall I bring something along? Also what sort of time do you usually leave the circuit and go back to the campsite? By the way, another celebration that weekend, my 30th is on July 4th. See you all there and can't wait. |

Silverstone was very tame compared to Thruxton as only a few of us were able to have a few beers. Donington should be awesome as we are all able to let our hair down and party on.

This sounds a mega bash, so to avoid to much duplication of equipment and foods we need too get orginized.
As a suggestion each person / couple should bring basic camping gear, tent, chairs, gadget glasses, s/bag, etc and enough booze to consume according to their taste. Plus any special requirments such as Veggie foods, fags, banners, blow up dolls, TV's and so on. We can combine on foods and cooking equipment etc, so to start off, who is going and what are you willing to bring ? We will need. BBQ's, BBQ fuels, Sat evg food such as burgers, sausages etc for about 20, Sun evg food for about the same, breakfast bacon butties or the like, wash up bowl & scourer, tea/coffee, milk/sugar, trackside snacks - kit kats/crisps/hobnobs/etc. Cooking utensils, chefs hat and first aid kit. Cool box. I assume that all will bring their own plate, cutlery and mug. This is just off the top off my head, please add any other items we might need. Just say what you can bring and we could reduce waste. Simon |

I think I said this in the other thread, but just in case:
I'm in France from Saturday (day after tomorrow) until the next Saturday. I then have to get up first thing Sunday morning and drive from Ledbury, Herefordshire (you won't have heard of it - get a map!!) to Nottingham to pick up a server. Assuming I'm still awake, I'll stop in at Donny en-route back for the racing only, so sadly no camping or partying for me...but at least I should be there for the racing. I'm assuming viewing is from the bar, and the Old Hairpin, ELMS stylee?? |

SL you are sooo organised!
I am now the prowd owner of a portable gas BBQ. As I am away on holiday I have asked my mum to get me a few burgers, sausages and bacon plus rolls so I don't have to go Shopping late Friday evening when i return. Where do we camp at Donnington? Or shall I just ring you all when I get there. There is also Phil, Paul and Kaz camping over. p.s. Minardi 10.00am pick up time sounds good |
