Probably right, how about Combe and Midlands? I havent seen many NW drivers in front of Midland or Combe drivers when they have raced together.

I'm in for a SOM and NW race this year, so we'll find out, and I have seen suggestions that you may poke your nose out Matt.

You will notice that the top post is from redracAr57 and not me who is RedracEr57.
Although I would have to agree. More NWFF drivers need to try other circuits to see who is best as most NWFF drivers don't seem to want to travel. But when you have the best single seater champ in the UK why bother!! |

I am getting annoyed with his comments that he is trying to attribute to RedracEr57. Enough is enough. Also remove this thread. We are trying to get all the regional FF1600 racers into one family. We don't need his silliness stirring things up. We are quite capable of having our own bit of friendly banter. If anybody knows of a Forum for budding GT drivers, please point him at that. We don't need him. They are welcome to him. Last edited by diz; 23 Dec 2003 at 16:32. |

No worries, I have crashed with gavin 2 times Ed Mooooooore 1 time a bloke at Combe once but we both continued and a backmarker at Combe once umm and Chris Whittingham once at Snett, all in 5 years of racing so its not that bad I know of people that have had a lot worse! oh and Kevin Mills at Combe! I did the whole of 2001 without crashing once!
I learned to race against John Hutchinson and Robin Parsons who I never even touched wheels with and who I consider to be the toughest fairest racers I have ever raced with, If anyone is up the inside (and you know they are there) then they can have a car width and will have to brake later, if they are coming down the outside they can have a carwidth and better brake later and thats it not rocket science! the one with gavin at Brands this year was me not seeing him, thats it. |

I hear what you say, but agree with Chris that chosing a name so similar to his and with no connection to your first name, last name or hair colour [sorry Chris] is a touch like. I agree about the NW though [I've got to haven't I] but all the regions have champions. It is just that - for arguments sake and this will probably start another one - NW is Premier League. I'd put Combe as Div 1., SOM Div 2. and SFFC will have to be Div 3. Justin Dawkins will now probably wake up LOL diz |

Ye Gods. I've just had to come back in to edit this reply. I thought I was replying to Chris H and it was that pesky imposter again. Still as a Manc, he also has recent experience of the lower division. Last edited by diz; 23 Dec 2003 at 17:06. |

as far as I can see there is a fair mix of Northern v southern drivers at Oulton, where all the best drivers race.
Oops! Sorry I forgot. Hutch, in order to be considered truly fast moved up North to live this year, so I guess the fastest drivers ARE from the North after all.LOL!!!!! Or should I get into the Christmas spirit and say Ho Ho Ho. |

harsh to put SOM div 2. think if combe, NW and SOM drivers went to a 'neutral' circuit SOM would come out better with NW next. Not knocking combe drivers there are a couple of quick drivers but most are track specialists - sorry. SFFC dont really count as there are only a handful of racers, but it is pretty poor.

I don't think so.
Three of our drivers set times at Oulton that havn't been matched in 10 years (1.03.6's). Eat my exhaust!! LOL |
