Interim McLaren livery
McLaren have unveiled their testing livery on an interim car before the launch of their 2006 race car.

I love this & like the Williams show the trend of teams looking to their past for their current liveries. So nice to see McLarens running in orange again!

It's a bit bright, but it's good to be different! I wouldn't mind them racing with this livery, although I'm pretty sure they won't.

rcarr has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Mclaren's team colour is orange! Has been since Bruce Mclaren started the company!

I think they should go plain silver or keep with orange!
The black into silver was for the West sponsorship so they should now moved on!

maltafan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Although I like the car as it is, I think that they will not run in orange for a whole season, but as an interim car, it is great. Paying tribute to the good old days.

it looks so friendly.
its amazing how by just changing the colour that you get such a radically different feeling just from looking at this car.
not nearly as menacing as the black and silver.

It is growing on me though, I think I like it.

Looks more rounded with one solid color instead of silver/black/insert color here all mixed together IMO.

I quite like it.
But the article is pretty clear about the fact that McLaren will not run it this season.

Too bad, F1 needs a little more tradition instead of only the "scarlet" Ferrari's...

I'm reliabily informed that its standard McLaren Orange.

If this is the case, then the image is over exposed as its much darker than appears in the press release images. Its the same orange as the 97 and 98 Test car, its also the same orange as the McLaren F1 LM (do a google)

How many more times do I need to say on here, the Black and Silver isn't a West sponsorship its McLaren colouration. West at the time had red and white packages, and only went to silve and black at a later date - I was involved in this and the 97 orange car livery

Pity that the colour scheme is for testing only....as a BTW is the colour scheme shown on last years car or an hybrid of last and this years? I ask because I thought the airbox winglets things were to be banned this season

That is orange whichever way you look at it.
Go visit Holland when they celebrate their 'Queens Day' on the 30th of April, and you'll learn the true meaning of the word 'orange'...
