Joest956 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Blue book

Has the MSA released the 2007 book yet?

Haven't had anything through the post yet.

I'm specifically interested in helmet regs and whether SFI 31.2a certificates are still valid.

Erm, sort of. If you goto:

http://www.msauk.org

You can register with your old MSA membership number as userid. Then you can get to member services & member publications & download bits of the blue book as pdfs. Sdaly section Q (safety) doesn't seem to be there, otherwise I'd be able to give you the answer.

Another "usefu" feature is you can see the status of your licence application, i.e. that they got it last year, they started procssing it a couple of weeks later & they still haven't finished - but, i guess like me, you already knew the last bit

Oops, I'm going blind. It is there, just not in alphabetical order. No change bars I can see in that section & it still says:

"10.3.1. Standards. Helmets bearing one of the
undermentioned ‘standards’ may be approved by the
MSA subject to other criteria being met.
(a) INTERNATIONAL EVENTS & ALL MSA EVENTS.
FIA 8860-2004.
SNELL SA2005.
SNELL SA2000.
SFI Foundation 31.1A, 31.2A.
BS 6658 Type A/FR.
In addition the following are acceptable for:
(b) ALL MSA EVENTS
BS 6658 – 85 Type A (Type ‘B’ is not acceptable).
(c) INTERNATIONAL and MSA National KART RACE
EVENTS SNELL K98 and K2005."
