Entries are slowly coming in, at the moment we are about half way to having a viable event, so if you want to come and race get those that do a lot of talking and not a lot else to get entered or those of you who have entered might not have anywhere to go.

Entry list seems to be filling up now, got some new names on there too which is good for the sport
Still some of the usual suspects missing though... si interesting point, without the mini's and stocks there are only 8 other cars entered at the moment, makes me wonder about the BRDA's discission to get rid of the mini's and limit stock numbers in there championship. |

I don't think there's a limit for each class (with the possible exception of the rally cars). The juniors will run against each other, minicross will be stand alone as will stock hatch. I'd imagine they'll run the supercars in with the mods/supermods (that's what they've done in the past).
The rally cars run on a timed basis (theoretically not going wheel to wheel as they start at intervals rather than the mass grid blast). If there aren't many of them will they still run the class or will they offer them the chance to run with the mods? (the downside is the damage that could be caused - unprotected lights would be very vulnerable for a start!) |

So the classes can be integrated (to an extent) just like multi class circuit racing.
Is there a minimum for points scoring? |

How shy and retiring Phil as shy and retiring as Tina's?
I don't think there's a minimum for points, if your the only one in your class then you score maximum points. I think all classes will be run together in the finals, (they were last year) but I also see the stupid rule where the top three stockhatch & minicross cars get extra points is still there, which meant that although Dave Bellerby won all three meetings outright he still did not become overall champion, I thought they were going to drop that this year. I think Kieth Rylands is entering his Escort super modified. Oh by the way |

OK a really dumb question.
Long time since I went to a RallyX meeting but as I recall grid sizes were small and laps were few. Which suggests the value is in the number of races per day. If so the more cars you have the more races you see. If run on a heat basis then those who are winners get more races. Good for the spectator but bad for the less quick folks. |

Grid sizes are small (8 max) races normally 5 laps max so it's short sharp non stop stuff throughout the day.
Everyone gets to run in at least two heats, if the numbers are low then everybody gets three heats. After the heats are done and dusted it's time for the finals (ideally everybody gets to run in a final but if entries are high there may only be A and B finals per class). If it's a BRC round then the last race of the day is the superfinal which is the quickest eight cars from the finals (irrespective of which class they run in - which often gives us supermods up against supercars and provides a superb race as the 2wd boys get stuck into the 4wd machinery ) Last edited by BertMk2; 16 Feb 2005 at 18:21. |
