Think Fabrizio is a poor choice
If he spent half as much time concentrating on now knocking people of and riding better as he did messing about with his stupid crash helmets and changing his nickname, he still wouldnt be worthy of a factory Ducati ride. |

Shouldn't this thread be the 2010 Silly Season and not 2009....?

On the other hand, this year's silly season is for 2010. Or maybe it's the 2009-2010 silly season, since it can span both years. It's all rather pedantic isn't it? |

It certainly is, it's been a long day at work
To be fair though, we did have a 2009 WSBK Silly Season last year..... http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107757 This will be a good thread though as although MotoGP is increasingly more sorted for next year nothing in WSB is apart from the works Ducati. |

Ok, no-one's bitten so I'll throw a few rumours into the mix:
Tom Sykes to Suzuki? Shakey Byrne to rejoin Paul Bird’s team at Kawasaki? James Toseland to Ten Kate? Chris Vermeulen to Aprilia? Alex de Angelis to Yamaha to join Cal Crutchlow? To be honest, anything is possible in WSB next year..... |

Well, not really anything for 2010, but Marco Simoncelli will be riding at Imola this weekend. Deal was made after he tested the bike this week. Cool news.

Ben Spies will leave World Superbike at the end of the season and will ride for Tech 3 Yamaha next year. James Toseland will take his place at Yamaha Italia and Cal Crutchlow will be on the other bike.
So Sykes is out of a ride at the moment. |

Seems everyone is being linked with Kawasaki.
I very much doubt Chris will go to a team that cant provide him with a winning bike. I think one of the Honda teams or Suzuki is the idea as Kag cant possibly be staying in WSBK, rumour is he may go to BSB again alongside Guinters. Sykes I think may go to WSS. I think KAwasaki will be Byrne and Parkes |

I really hope Vermeulen is on a Honda or a Suzuki. He'd be wasted on the Kawi.

Surprised really. The release says Kawi will step up their level of resources. You'd hope so.

Provisional 2010 schedule is out. Qatar has been dropped. Still just one UK round. And Portimao has been moved to March.

Haslam has left Stiggy and is being tipped for a ride at Alstare Suzuki. That could be a good move.

Leon Haslam and Sylvain Guintol will ride for Alstare Suzuki in 2010.
No hint where Max N. might land, but I think he will find it hard to find a good ride now. Kagayama is returning to British Superbike. |
